Justice Thomas Writes Autobiography
Peoplepc Online/Associated Press ^ | September 28, 2007 | Christine Simmons

WASHINGTON - Breaking his 16-year public silence on his bitter confirmation hearings, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas says Anita Hill was a mediocre employee who was used by political opponents to make claims she had been sexually harassed.

Thomas writes about Hill, his former employee in two government agencies, and the allegations that nearly derailed his nomination to the high court in 1991 in his autobiography, "My Grandfather's Son."

A copy of the book, which goes on sale Monday, was obtained Friday by The Associated Press.

He writes with indignation of the nationally televised hearings that he memorably called a "high-tech lynching." A child of the segregated South, Thomas says he was being pursued "not by bigots in white robes but by left-wing zealots draped in flowing sanctimony."

Hey, Fred Thompson awarded one of Clarence Thomas’ vilest detractors with a nice Grant so he can continue to spread his race hustling.

I doubt he admits the truth: He probably was dating her, they had a relationship, and the thing went sour.

That’s how she knew he was such an insensitive little beastie. But it’s also something she could not admit when she was throwing her accusations around, so when he said, “it’s all lies”, he was basically telling the truth. She just ommitted the part where they were amicable with each other and so did he. Ugly little deal.

More likely she was stalking him.

Notice that she kept leaving him messages after they stopped working together. The messages stopped after he was married. Then Nina Totenberg called...

Any evidence to back up those accusations?

That’s happening a lot because it takes so dang long for posts to appear that one thinks one needs to click on post again.

I really like Clarence Thomas and see no need for us to re-hash those phony hearings again.

I do plan to read his book!

Just Washington scuttlebutt. It kinda makes sense when you look at the evidence in the light of events.
