STATEMENT OF GOVERNOR KAINE
~ On Dr. Esam Omeish’s resignation from the Virginia Commission on Immigration ~
RICHMOND – Governor Timothy M. Kaine released the following statement on Dr. Esam Omeish’s resignation today from the Virginia Commission on Immigration:
“I have accepted Dr. Esam Omeish’s resignation as one of the 10 gubernatorial appointees to the 20-member Virginia Commission on Immigration.
“Dr. Omeish is a respected physician and community leader, yet I have been made aware of certain statements he has made which concern me.
“Dr. Omeish indicated that he did not want this controversy to distract from the important work of the Commission.
“I intend to name another representative of the Muslim community to the Commission in the near future.”

Gotcha! What was Kaine thinking? Bad day for the governor, and an object lesson in lousy staff work.

I'd settle for someone who's qualified and isn't a racist who wants to bring down this country. Work on the basics, Timmy, then start thinking about social engineering.

It creeps me out that this guy is practicing medicine and operating on infidels a couple of miles from where I live. Geez.
More really horrifying details on this at the Gates of Vienna, including a link to an audio interview (mp3 format) Laura Ingraham did with Dr. Omeish, in which he admits to wanting Shari’a as the law for the U.S.A., if it can be voted in, and that he will work towards that end.
"Not all Muslims are terrorists. Some of them are doctors and lawyers and family men."
But of course, this guy is a doctor, and he's also a jihadist. The problem is that even the "moderate" Muslims are frequently terrorists.
Did he expect things to turn out any different. Lack of judgment on the part of the governor no doubt.
Maybe the good Governor isn’t as dumb as he looks.
Why would a state need a commission on immigration? Immigration from where? Maryland?
Is Virginia planning on establishing a separate immigration policy from that of the U.S? Or just different from Massachusetts?
Maryland needs one.....Have you seen who hangs out at the Seven -Elevens?

Kaine is a major screwup fiscally and otherwise.
I thought Kaine was one of these new moderate Democrats the party needs to win nationally. What a joke.
