A couple of things that the TV Station brought out is that Mr. Finch was a businessman, and there is no indication from the report that he has a criminal history. He has a son, Andy Finch, who is a professional snowboarder. The police were called regarding a domestic violence. And evidently, it went downhill from there.
This is a real bizarre situation.
