PRISTINA, Serbia (AFP) — A strong blast in the Kosovo capital Pristina killed two people and injured 11 on Monday amid renewed tensions arising from the future of the UN-administered Serbian province.

A double-storey business centre on Bill Clinton Boulevard was severely damaged by the explosion at 2:10 am (0010 GMT), which damaged at least a dozen shops, cafes and restaurants at the premises, police said.

One person was immediately killed, the other died of injuries in a hospital, while another victim was in critical condition, local police and medical authorities said, adding that the others' lives were not threatened.

Police sealed off the area and launched an investigation with NATO-led peacekeeping force KFOR.

"It sounded like thunder," a witness who was in a cafe across the street at the time of the incident said as a special KFOR unit searched for other possible explosive devices.

The force of the blast, which apparently targetted the top floor, left shards of glass and debris scattered along the road, including from cars and residential buildings up to 60 metres (65 yards) away.

Bill Clinton Boulevard

Part of the "red light district", surely.

I believe the last time there was an explosion that had to do with Clinton, an intern and a certain blue dress was involved.

Kosovo Police officers inspect the scene where a powerful blast ripped through Kosovo's capital early Monday, Sept. 24, 2007. A powerful blast ripped through several shops in Kosovo's capital early Monday, killing two people and injuring nine others, officials said. While the motive for the attack was unclear, Kosovo's government said it was not related to the U.N.-mediated negotiations on the province's demands for independence from Serbia. The explosion happened around 2:30 a.m. (0030GMT) in a shopping mall in the center of Pristina. Police said the blast was caused by an explosive device. (AP Photo / Visar Kryeziu)

LOL...the criminal Albanians blowing up stuff on Bill Clinton Ave. just seems like poetic justice.
By the way, what is our exit strategy from the Baltic quagmire after the last TWELVE YEARS? Some enterprising reporter (ha!) or better yet, those Republicans campaigning for the nomination, ought to ask Hillary! that question every chance they get. People have chosen to forget that sorry chapter of Bill and Hill’s feckless foreign adventures.

We can probably count on our lone remaining Dhimmwit to try to blame this one on the Serbs, although it appears that he’s finally reached his threshold of being humiliated by the facts and now avoids Balkans threads.

Maybe that's why Bush is following the Clinton lead in Kosovo. Maybe he wants the islamic albanian invaders to name a street after him.

Even though the motive for Friday night's bombing in Prishtina hasn't been revealed by police investigators, members of the Sekiraça family say it is possible that this was done by some former KLA member, reports Koha Ditore.

Enver Sekiraça's nephew, Salih, told Koha Ditore on Sunday that the whole family 'isn't in good terms with the KLA' because many in the KLA believe they used to collaborate with the former Serb regime. Salih says he doesn't know who might be responsible for the car bomb attack, but says he 'prefers for the investigations that are being conducted to be finished by the police'. He has also decided not to talk about possible motives or the individuals involved in explosion that left 32 injured.

Koha Ditore suggests that one motive for Friday's attack could be Enver Sekiraca's testimony in the upcoming Remi trial. Sekiraca's nephew says his uncle hasn't decided if he is going to testify or not. 'Enver was asked five or six months ago to testify against Remi. He didn't agree to do this. So far, he hasn't changed his mind; I don't know what he might decide in the future,' he said.

Even though his Enver Sekiraça's name is mentioned as a primary witness in the Remi trial, defense attorneys say they still haven't been informed officially about his testimony. 'At this time, the witness hasn't yet given testimony to the investigative judge…and we have no knowledge if the international prosecutor has demanded his testimony. Maybe he will be called in later by the prosecutor's office,' said a lawyer for the defense, Aziz Rezha.

The article needs clarification. Enver Sikiraca is most likely a Turk, not Albanian and therefore tarkgetted by KLA goons.

“Remi” mentioned in the article is Rremi Mustapha, KLA commander who forced 220 000 Albanians on the move, to fake Serbian ethnic cleansing.

If Mustapha a.k.a. Commander Remi is exposed in the Hague as the man behind forcing Albanians to leave their homes, it can drive another nail in the coffin of NATO lies. So Mustapha is not the only one to benefit if Sekiraca does not testify in the Kangaroo Kourt.

Methinks that the perps of this terrorist act will never be found.

This website is claiming that Enver is a Serbian war criminal! LOL!

"Description: Less than 24 hours before a high-level UN delegation was due to arrive, a car bomb exploded in a busy commercial area of downtown Pristina, injuring thirty-two people and damaging twenty nearby shops. Authorities theorize that the bomb may have been intended for the UN delegation or Enver Sekiraca, a Serbian suspected of war crimes." source

Now who on earth would ever do that, Dio?

If my memory serves me correct, Dio, I think you said that Serbs collaborated with the Nazis?....Correct or am I Right?...Albeit you leave out the French, Dutch, and (Ahem, Croats) other collaborators.
