Is it all a conspiracy? A report claims that a Florida student that was arrested at a question and answer session for John Kerry is reportedly a Ron Paul supporter. Now while those that believe Ron Paul is just another long shot crackpot will get a chuckle out of all the "nuts" sticking together the incident in Florida did have its moments.
When the student was being arrested, he screamed, "There are people that know I'm here. You can't do things like that." The paranoid student then seemed to believe he would never be heard from again. "Oh my God. You're giving me to the government. (to the camera he continued) They're giving me to the government. They're giving me to the government." He then asked, "Can I get my camera back please?" Oh yes he had a camera at the ready for his YouTube moment in the sun.
***
When a female police officer asked "Who's that with the camera?" Meyer said, "That's my cameraman." So why would he support Ron Paul? I think that's pretty obvious. Good or bad all of the tin foil hat crowd has wandered over into the Ron Paul camp. While sifting through comments about the incident many say that his speech was being shut down - "just like Ron Paul."
Fortunately, no one has tasered the 71-year old Texas congressman. Andrew Meyer and Ron Paul and all the kooks of the world get their chance to speak here in America. They gain popularity on the Internet from those that believe that America has strayed from its roots, and believe that elections are all fixed and the media coverage is all against them.
***
Many of them believe free speech means that captive audiences must be forced to endure every crackpot theory any of them have to offer until they run out of breath. They scream about the First Amendment and the US Constitution as if they actually understand it.
It appears that Andrew wanted attention - his First Amendment rights were not violated. He's free to go to the street corner today and spout election theories until he runs out of breath. He was free to walk out that door and speak that day as well. He chose to saty and fight.
***
But when he was told his allotted time was up under the rules of the event he had to adhere to those rules or face the consequences. Don't feel for him - he got just what he wanted - attention. Too bad he didn't give Ron Paul a shout out and a bump during his scream fest.
And no, it's not really relevant to to the candidate that a single publicity hound supports him or is a truther, but Paul is certainly a magnet.
From other coverage.
Tasering of UF student sparks uproar
Meyer, a telecommunications junior from Weston, has a Web site that features a self-described "disorganized diatribe" criticizing media coverage of the Iraq war. The book he held at Monday's event was Armed Madhouse by Greg Palast, which reports on voting irregularities in the 2004 presidential contest and calls Kerry the victor.
He's also known for posting practical jokes and comedy routines online.
Meyer was a columnist for the Independent Florida Alligator, the student newspaper, for at least a semester more than a year ago, but was not given regular space more recently.
Josh Goldman, a UF senior who met Meyer two years ago, said his friend is interested in presidential candidate Ron Paul and 9/11 Truth, a movement that questions the mainstream explanation of Sept. 11.
..denounce this in Republican circles and praise it in Democrat circles, lets work with the hand that has been dealt...

I’ve said it before. I like Ron Paul even though I disagree with him on a couple of key issues but some of his supporters are really harmfull to his image.
I resent that statement. I haven't gone over to the Paul camp. Just a moment, I think this thing has slipped down over one of my ears...
The “taze” didn’t take. I suggest we turn it up from stune to beeber...
Fixed it for ya.
Good freakin' cows-and-cattle-prods grief in a sidecar.
Is that ever true. Activism like this he doesn't need. And some of his supporters realize it.
Email Mahmoud Ahmadinejad...ask him to meet with Ron Paul. There is another thread about Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaking at Columbia. I think this would be an excellent opportunity for Ron Paul's campaign. If Paul could meet with him, it would give his claim that the U.S. should "talk with other nations and be their friends" excellent credibility.

dr-ahmadinejad@president.ir Who knows, maybe they will reply like the president of Switzerland did to one of our people awhile back.
Apparently, see post 9.
Dude shoud have been tazed TWICE BRO!

If true, then he must be one of the libs who have the guts to abandon their party and support someone who truly represents their views.
It just gets nuttier and nuttier ping.
While in a logical world such a meeting would be excellent and right, we have to remember that there are about six news agencies and millions of zombies out there. I think for now as a candidate he should avoid a meeting, but he should absolutely continue to say that as president, he would talk with Iran and open up trade. People are waking up following the more slow but steady approach.
I thnk most RP supporters would think it was a good thing, but those still undecided might be a little sheepish about something like this and just use their emotions and see this as something bad without even thinking about it.
If everyone in the US was smart, then I would say do it. But since the majority is stupid I would say leave it alone for right now. Lets wait until after he is president. Bubba just won't get it.
He (Ahmadinejad) is NOT a madman! he is actually an intelligent and virtuous leader.
I believe that you are right. But, unfortunately, most American sheeple would buy into the MSM's representations that he is a "madman".
Yes, the Paul campaign is working hard to hide what they believe in order for us stupid sheeple to not misunderstand the glorious Paulini.
Possible, there's a lot of that going around.
Good grief. I’m no Paul supporter, but he doesn’t deserve to get associated with moonbats like this. The insane anti-war fringe is gluing themselves to the guy. The irony is, of course, that if the moonbats actually took the time to check up on the rest of Paul’s hardcore libertarian/small-government/pro-life stands, they’d run screaming from him! To these people, it’s all about the war and nothing else.

My favorite comments are those that realize they should keep quiet now, wait till he’s elected, I’ll stop laughing in a minute, then turn toward Ahmadinejad when he’s got the power. Gotta fool the sheeple.
If everyone in the US was smart, then I would say do it. But since the majority is stupid I would say leave it alone for right now. Lets wait until after he is president.
And they talk about how "smart" they are and how "stupid" everyone else is.
You can't make this stuff up.
