That split is already there. In 2006, the Pubbies suffered from poor turnout and partisan media shilling. The radicals may have an impact on the Dhimmicrat primaries and caucuses (although that party has been cutting off their own delegations from various states, or trying to, or threatening to), but look what happened when they did that in CT in 2006...

If the DUmmies in these states sit on their hands in November 2008, it would be nice.
