Former U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney said Tuesday that black voters should consider voting for third-party candidates.
Speaking to a sparsely attended Green Party gathering, the Georgia Democrat railed at her party and said black voters should not automatically vote Democratic, as an overwhelming majority now do.
"We have to be willing to do something that we've never done before so that we can get some things we've never had before," said McKinney, who is black.
During the 2000 presidential election, McKinney said, Democrats "didn't even fight for your right to vote and your right to representation," referring to allegations that black citizens were prevented from voting during that election.
McKinney served in Congress from 1993 to 2003, and from 2005 to 2007. She lost in the 2006 Democratic primary.
About 20 people attended the Luzerne County Green Party meeting, which county co-chairman Carl Romanelli said was timed to match McKinney's traveling schedule.

There's a rumor that former Congresswoman McKinney may be the Green Party presidential candidate next year. If so, I wonder how many black and hippy voters they could siphon off from Hillary?

Perhaps, The Chocolate Mint Party?

I never thought I would find myself agreeing with her, albeit, for different reasons.

THat’s fine Cynthia Moonbat — in fact, we’ll take up a collection to help you run on the Green Party ticket. If you could somehow manage to siphon a couple of percentage points from the ‘Rats it would be a very good thing!! Maybe you can have the other Cynthia Moonbat as your running mate, the sad case of Cynthia Sheehan.

Will the Green party be handing out Newport cigarettes & Thunderbird wine (to voters) and “walking around money” (for black preachers) like the Democrats do?

If (big if) she does become a serious candidate for president, wouldn’t that suck to be one of her secret service men? You might get punched if you mess up!

I would feel for her SS people. They would probably feel like they entered an alternate reality.

Correction: Black voters should not vote Democratic.
There. That fixes that.
No. Wait...
Voters should not vote Democratic.
There. Now we've got it.

More likely the communist party, since it’s coming from McKinney.

Give it up Cyndi. The Dems
own the black vote. When a voting block steadfastly votes for one party to the tune of
80 - 90% then that voting block can effectively be disregarded by both parties as a factor. They WON'T be changing their habits anytime soon.
All the Dems have to do is throw them a little Katrina red meat now and then and they'll line up and do what they're told. Its been shown in election after election.

"We have to be willing to do something that we've never done before so that we can get some things we've never had before," said McKinney, who is black. Satire is impossible in the face of such
