Romney's a panderer

panderer - 1. One who caters to or exploits the lower tastes and desires of others.

It's as simple as him saying, "I'll do this for you if you'll do this (vote) for me!"

Get ready to empy your pockets fot the funding.

Wrong, as usual. There are billions and billions of dollars wasted by the federal government. The waste must stop and then there will be money left to give more tax breaks AND aid critical medical research.

How many decades have we been hearing that - that more spending is needed but it can be offset by cutting waste and corruption?

Instead, taxes and spending go up and the waste and corruption goes right up with them.

Face it - your guy is NO conservative. He will pander until there is no one left to pander to.

Really?

What’s he going to cut to compensate?

At least he didn't promise to cure cancer, like Senator Ben Cardin did in 2006.

Or did he?

This must be in response to the “Lance Armstrong” ‘Debate’ on health issues on MSNBC. Did anyone catch it ... the dems were present and accounted for.

I seen this guy on Meet the Press and he's a totalitarian socialist. He wants to pass a law banning all smoking, then he'd start attacking the food we ate and demand everybody exercise. Probably like Winston Smith in front of the TV in 1984. Of course Mr Potatohead, aka "Big Russ Book 3" didn't bother to point out that in theory we live in a free society. People like Lance Armstrong are dangerous and should be responded to when they start talking about taking away our freedoms.

Next, he’ll say he’s going to increase spending for public education.

Provide me the Constitutional grounds tax dollars should be used to 'aid' any research. This is a rational question expecting a rational answer

yes, my favorite was that “people like Christopher Reeve will get out of their wheelchairs and walk again.” I love that clip, reminds me of the Algore “I raised it, I hoed it, I harvested it!” clip about tobacco.

Well if he cuts like George Bush and the Republican controlled Congress, he'll only grow the federal government 2-3 times inflation!

(from the article): Romney opposes public-run health care systems like those in Canada and Britain. He helped Massachusetts enact a landmark health program that makes sure anybody who qualifies for Medicaid enrolls in the program, requires people who can afford health insurance to purchase it...

Don't really see a diff between Mitt-care and Brit-care?

Well I don't agree that it means anything and everything but you know as well as I do that the phrase "...establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare.." has been twisted into all sorts of things the founders probably didn't anticipate. I only post this because you asked for a rational answer. Like I said, I don't necessarily agree that it means anything and everything but the phrase is somewhat...elastic.

Try googling "United Order," you'll find out why.

This disappoints me to no end. It’s the first time I have seen Mitt open his mouth when he has no idea what he is talking about.

Cancer gets more funding than any other disease at NIH. Way more. Cardiovascular diseases are far and away the #1 killer, but the Natl Cancer Institute has a budget about 60% larger than the Natl Heart Lung and Blood Institute.

Breast cancer is not underfunded relative to other cancers. For ex it gets twice as much funding as the most common cancer than afflicts only men(prostate). I’m not saying that this is wrong; there are reasons to give more to breast cancer research (although the huge lobby for research dollars certainly is a factor). But to claim that breast cancer is not getting its fair share is simply absurd.

Of course, if you are going to increase funding of anything, you have to decrease funding of something else. Mitt needs to tell us what he will cut to pour more dollars where the need is doubtful.

A lot of people need to get over the idea that the solution to every problem is throwing more money at it.
