Cincinnati, OH (LifeNews.com) -- An Ohio teenager accused of attacking his pregnant girlfriend and killing her unborn child after she refused to have an abortion will be charged with murder. Alfonso Price, a 15-year-old, allegedly attacked Kerria Anderson, 18, because she refused to have an abortion of her baby who Price fathered.
Price reportedly kicked Anderson, who was eight months pregnant, in the stomach and hit her causing her to miscarry the old unborn child. She planned to name her baby Precious.
Anderson was eventually able to contact authorities from an adjacent store but the baby girl wasn't able to be saved. Her skull had been fractured in the attack.
During a Wednesday court hearing, Anderson described how Price and Jebrell Wright, who is 17, lured her to an apartment and attacked her. She begged the pair to stop assaulting her but they didn't comply.
“B---- you should have got an abortion, now your baby is going to die,” Anderson said Alfonso told her.
The next question is whether Price will be charged in a juvenile or adult court and Judge Thomas R. Lipps will make that decision in a hearing on August 29 after he considers a mental evaluation and Price's juvenile record.
Wright's case has already been sent to adult court. Judge Lipps ordered him held on $400,000 bond, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper.
Betty Payne, who would have been Anderson's baby's great-grandmother, told the newspaper she was "satisfied" with the murder charges brought against Price.
“I want justice to be (served) because it should be," she said.
"He wanted her to get an abortion because they were not together," Payne said previously. "He didn't want his baby raised by another man."
Two doctors testifed in court on Wednesday that the baby was 29 weeks into the pregnancy and would have survived if not for the trauma Price and Wright caused.
Anderson's mother, Angela Anderson, told the Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper that the teens stomped on her daughter and that shoe marks were left on her clothes and body after the attack.
Angela described her daughter as frazzled by the incident and said she didn't think Price was a violent person despite several arrests for minor crimes. Kerria Anderson had previously filed a police report for abuse but didn't follow through on it to press charges.
Precious was buried on Friday, the newspaper reported, after members of the community helped defray the burial costs. Kerria Anderson also has a 1 year-old daughter.
The case brings more attention to violence against pregnant women, especially those whose refusals to have abortions spark violent rage in their partners.
Ohio is one of 35 states that have a law protecting pregnant women and their unborn children and providing them with justice when they are injured or killed in an attack.
Some 25 of the states, including Ohio, allow prosecutors to bring forth two charges at any time during the pregnancy for death or injury to both mother and child and another 10 states only protect women and children in the latter stages of pregnancy.

Ohio law says that the minimum age at which a juvenile can be tried as an adult is 14, so this creep qualifies. At 15 it's a question for the judge. Now if he were 16 then for aggrevated murder the court would be forced to try him as an adult.

Price’s own mother, 34 year old Keisha Pitts, just got out of jail less than a month ago. She has been arrested 42 times, last charged with domestic violence.

He’s an adult - first, for engaging in an adult behavior 8 months before, second because he absolutely did appreciate the gravity of what he was doing. It was his stated intention to assault her and kill her baby - this is an open and shut question IMHO.
Try him, convict him, execute him. Maybe it’ll save some other poor baby. It’ll certainly save the world from having this sick SOB reproduce any more.
