Insight News Television presents a film on Ansar al-Islam - the radical Islamic militia named by US Secretary of State Colin Powell in his speach to the UN. He said it was one of the missing links between Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden.
Our reporter, Jonathan Miller, spent two days with Ansar's leader, Mullah Krekar. Krekar's an Iraqi Kurd, but is today living in Norway, which granted his family political asylum ten years ago. Refugee status hasn't stopped him from returning regularly to Northern Iraq to wage jihad and commit human rights abuses against his own people. Krekar set up a Taliban-style mini-state on the Iraq / Iran border where pop music and TV have been outlawed and Sharia law rules.

I must have missed the ping to that video you referred to April15Bendover... Could you tell me what day you pinged me, as I haven’t been on here on a daily basis for the last few weeks, and I went through several pages of pings and didn’t see it...

Word definitely needs to get out to the general public regarding the ties Saddam had with Al Qaeda. It really astounds me frankly that the Republicans in elected office are NOT calling attention to this. I’m a little miffed about it, and the fact that they do not come back forcefully in regards to the WMD that has been found during the war as well. VERY frustrating to say the least that we are not getting more leadership from our officials on this and it’s left to bloggers to try to counter all the LIES the Dems are spreading! One would think Bush would chomp at the bit with this information just to stick it to them, ya know???
[Oh, and my husband returned to work today — Praise the Lord!!! — after 6 months of being off due to herniated discs. So, as soon as I get the kids homeschool stuff organized for the next year, I hope to re-start my blogging, so please do keep me in mind when you run across things like this. JVeritas has done an incredible job with those translations!
I featured info about the WMDs on my blog from his translations months ago, and I regularly find people coming to that post from message boards around the web — people arguing over the war and referring to my post & JVeritas’ translations for proof against the lies of the Dems and the MSM re: WMD. What’s perhaps even more interesting and hope-inspiring is that a lot of these sites are those which are popular with the younger people in our country. If it weren’t for JVeritas’ work in this area we would have nothing to counter their arguments with, and our young people would fully believe the lies!
