Cut spending. The problem is the Democrats and the RINOs want to jack up taxes and spend, spend and spend.

Another way of looking at and thinking about budget deficits is to inquire why spending hasn’t been reduced to help balance the budget - instead of raising taxes to balance the budget.

Governor Tim Kaine, who wants to spend money to start a Pre-K program. We didn't even have "K" when I started school. Started right out in first grade.
How did I ever survive?

The size of the deficit could be a big problem for Governor Tim Kaine, who wants to spend money to start a Pre-K program.
Deficits are ALWAYS the fault of Tax Cuts, and NEVER over-spending.

Looks like the "wealth" has gone out of "Commonwealth."
Not to worry. Just keep up the good work rousting illegals from various counties of the Old Dominion and the problem will be solved.
They'll swim the Potomac into liberal Montgomery County, Merryland and everyone will be as happy as Chesapeake Bay clams....

If you can’t balance the budget during the good times, there’s no way you’re going to do it during the bad times.

IIRC, a few years ago, retired military folks brought suit against the state because they taxed military retirement pay but not state retiree’s retirement pay.
The state lost and had to refund five years worth of taxes to the military retirees.
Then they started taxing state retirees pay.
Glad I moved away.

I am getting a bit worried about the number of states that are starting to report tax revenues dropping: Florida, California, and now Virginia.
According to this report (Va. revenue outlook improves) on the situation in Virginia:
The budget is responding to troubles in the economy.
For example, stagnation in housing sales is spreading from wealthy Northern Virginia to the less pricey Richmond and Hampton Roads markets.

egads! they need to seriously look at cuts in
spending before even suggesting a tax hike.

Cut spending, deport illegals who eat up so much of our state Medicaid and other social services, and stop trying to mandate pre-k education programs for every child in the state. That would fix the budget right there.
