And if you are lucky enough, you too can find a jury to acquit you.

That was a quote from Mr. Cryer in his video.

The link seemed to stall while loading.

One great thing about YouTube is that it works even on my rattletrap rustbucket of a computer.

Irwin Schiff, Federal prisoner and American scumbag.

Tell the guys in Iraq that he is a great guy when they are putting it on the line for a few hundred $ a month, and Schiff made big money telling people not to pay taxes.

He is the lowest of the low.

income tax does NOT go towards defense, health care and all the other .... we think. it goes toward paying the interest on the money we allowed the federal reserve to print for the united states. i had to do some research to find this out myself.

Amen, MindBender. Tax cheats are anti-American, anti-military scum.

I'm all for low taxes, but no taxes is a recipe for anarchy and zero defense.

Income tax goes into the general fund which is the same pile that nearly all taxes go into (including the surplus from the social security fund) and it’s this same fund that outlays money for defense, health care and other (and also interest on the national debt).

Coincidentally, I have a pretty good sense of what the guys in Iraq think because in my time I experienced the unique joy and wonder of watching just about my entire high school class run off to Canada and elsewhere while I volunteered (yes, you could volunteer in the days of mandatory conscription, in fact, the Navy would not accept draftees) for the Navy.

I have also exchanged email with a neighbor who had no business going on active duty at his age, but volunteered, nevertheless, to go to Afghanistan

The real question: how many of these bureaucrats you so joyfully defend have ever worn a uniform where there was real mischief afoot instead of some paperwork crimes committed by Soccermoms or Working Joes?

Best regards,

How ever did the United States of America defend itself and become as successful as it was, winning every war it fought, from 1889 until 1913 when the Income Tax was ratified?

Oops - 1789, not 1889...

They paid for the Civil War with a federally mandated income tax. The common defense before that was funded by myriad state, local and federal taxes, tariffs and fees. And a lot of times our servicemen simply went unpaid.

If you want the income tax gone, that's fine. But you'll need to change the Constitution first. Otherwise, tax cheats are petty thieves and should be treated accordingly.

If the feds wanted to get a conviction against Cryer, why didn’t they cite the laws that required him to file and pay. If he has no tax liability, he owes no taxes.

How people tend to forget history. This country was founded on refusal to pay illegal taxes. All the government has to do is PROVE that one has to pay income taxes. With over 1 million pages of tax code don't you find it amazing that there is not one line that states you have to pay income tax! Next to global warming, income taxes is the biggest scam out there. IRS can shut ANYONE down by just producing the documentation. They cannot. So like the mob, they use banks and employers to do their bidding to confiscate what they want.

Another application of the 861 argument... you'd think these guys would get tired of going to jail. Mr. Schiff, of course, won't get tired of it: his income depends on people buying this garbage.
