The news is reporting it as an auto accident. Nothing confirmed. Tony Blair has been out of office for two days and the place goes to heck. :)
Point taken, but bear in mind the first reports on the car bombs yesterday were that smoke was coming out of one of the cars.

Yep. The car was apparently on fire BEFORE crashing into the terminal.
There is a picture on sky news, shows a pretty smallish fire.
Keep your head in the sand, and you won’t have anything to worry about.
Sky News has a photo of the burning terminal. Says Asian men got out of car and are fighting with police.
Yeah I will try to do that...thousands of cars catch fire every single day :) I think I can safely keep my head in the sand on that subject!!!! I can think of 100000 more things to be concerned of at this time.
The news is a bit hyper-sensitive to every little story right now. I am sure we will have dozens of silly stories over the next few weeks.
But hey if you want to stress over this then by all means carry on! I am heading to the beach. Maybe I can catch a few of those scuba diver terrorists the FBI has warned us to look for. lol

A 4x4 jeep has driven into the terminal building at Glasgow airport and caught fire, police have confirmed.
Witnesses reported hearing a series of loud “bangs” and saw a man on fire.

One, James Edgar, told Sky News: “People were running past like they has missed their flight.
“They told us all to get out of the airport.
“Everyone was in a panic and police and security were scuffling with an Asian gentleman.”
SK is more concerned with whatever happened on 9th & Monroe. ;)
It is thought two men had been in the Cherokee jeep and one of their clothes caught fire.
Sky’s Mark White said: “This is a significant incident.
“There are reports that the occupant or occupants of this vehicle have been seen fighting with police inside the terminal building.”
Fox is reporting that a car /SUV tried to ram the airport. Vehicle appeared to “exploded” into flame immediately after impacting the building.
No further information.
Vehicle did not penetrate the building itself, blaze is under control. Man in car scuffled with police immediately after incident.

Now the news is saying perhaps it was just an auto accident and people were fighting over who is at fault...
I would expect the US media to focus on the fact that it was an SUV.
And part of why they succeed when they do strike is because everyone laughs off things like this. Apparently, this is more serious than Joe Blow’s 1978 Plymouth overheating.

Seven Things We Now Know About Today’s Car Bombing Attempt

Folks, I just spent three hours surfing the net and did I learn a lot! Did you know that most of the news we get is controlled by the Bu$hies? Let me enlighten you about today’s so-called terrorist bombing attempt in London:
1. There is no proof that this was terrorism. With Blair gone, there IS no more terrorism in the UK. This was obviously just someone’s car, probably belonging to a nail salesman, who kept a lot of samples in his car. He was on his way to a barbecue, of course, which explains the propane. And he needed the extra gas, too, because - hello! - he was driving a gas-guzzler (instead of a hybrid, which is really mean-spirited).
So in effect, this was some right-wing, global warming-enabling carpenter on his way to char little animals for his own gratification.
2. Are we not supposed to notice it’s the first full day of Gordon Brown’s administration? This is a very CONVENIENT time for George Bush to claim terrorism is continuing. Tony Blair, obviously knew about this in advance and in a cowardly fashion, and at the behest of his Bu$h Yankee overlords, left office this week.
3. Admirably, the alleged bombers chose England - so anyone injured would receive free health care. If a bomb would have gone off in, say, New York City, imagine all the performance artists and stand up comics who might have been injured. Surely, as Michael Moore would attest, they’d be turned away from the ER.
4. It’s also good they chose a Mercedes instead of the subway. Bombing public transportation would have sent the wrong environmental message. Targeting a symbol of conspicuous consumption sends a chilling message to physicians everywhere.
5. The car was parked outside a bar called ‘Tiger Tiger,’ which highlights the near extinction of that species. That can’t be a bad thing.
6. The fact that the bomb did not go off demonstrates the inequity in standards of science education for ethnic minorities.
7. Clearly these people responsible are angry at us and I am proposing a minute’s silence and formation of steering committee for us all to consider what we as individuals can do to make these people less angry.

I think sk’s head is firmly planted somewhere other than sand...
I’ll go ahead and say this incident is terror related...I understand this airport is a transportation hub for troops to and from Iraq.

If you had a nickel for all the Cherokees that crashed into an airport terminal...you’d have a nickel.
I wouldn’t be so quick on that...news is now saying it sounds more like an automobile accident where one car caught on fire. Fight broke out among those involved...police then got involved and there was a scuffle. Terrorists? Anything is possible but is sounds more like something else. Could go either way though.
