70 years ago tomorrow (6/27/37) a Dr. Niemoeller, disillusioned with the Nazi regime, preached his last sermon. Three days later he was arrested and confined to Moabit prison. He wound up in Dachau, where he was liberated by Allied troops in 1945.

I believe Dr. Niemoeller was also a Lutheran.

True. It's no accident that Nazism took root in Germany. They are still Nazis at heart. Their laws against Holocaust denial and selling Mein Kampf, etc., are like Dr. Strangelove using his left hand to restrain his right arm from rising in a Hitler salute.
