Not really. Liberalism really IS a disease. Unfortunately, there’s no pill, no 12-step program, no easy way back to health. If I can weigh in on this ... I before E except after C ... has always been a foreign concept to me.

The complete "rule", seldom quoted in full, doth run thus:

"'I' before 'E', except after 'C'; or when sounded like 'A', as in 'neighbor' and 'weigh'."

The second syllable of "foreign" once fell under this rule, until we Yanks butchered the Queen's English :)
