You are rude.
Well I don’t mean to be rude. But how can you make such a ridiculous statement and not expect it? People and insurance companies are bearing those costs. Not you.
I say all this not taking a stand one way or another on this particular case. But people are taken off life support because of costs and/or family wishes and it is not always “murder”. It depends on the individual situation, their chances of recovery, their personal wishes and many factors. There can come a point where you have to let God take people and not indefinitely keep them on artificial support. Billy Graham did not “murder” his wife.
Now we come to you who makes this absurd statement that somehow you and other tax payers are already paying the costs of indefinitely supporting people on life support. It is just not true.
My apologies for offending you.
I am not the one pretending to pay these costs; I am smart enough (your opinion being already noted) to know that every dime I pay in taxes will be spent at the discretion of the politicians and bureaucrats whose job it is to spend every last penny in order to come back with empty hands to plead, cajole and coerce even more.
Are you sure we are at odds here?
Oh really?
My post #20: "Perhaps we should split up the bill and send it to the people on this thread ..."
Your post #32: "Weve already paid; its called taxes and bill adjustments."
So, yes, you claimed that we (government via taxes) are already paying to keep people on life support which isn't true. Individuals and insurance companies bear those costs.
