Why does everyone use the excuse of Bill Clinton fired them at the beginning. I have heard this everywhere. Is this something that most Presidents do? I know that media likes to find reasons to make President Bush look bad, but this arguement is used almost everytime.

Yes, all modern presidents do this.

Clinton did it, but so did Reagan, and so did George W Bush. Poppy 41 fired almost all of them - I think he retained three or four. All at the beginning of their terms.

It is highly unusual for a president to fire a group of his own US Attorneys during the middle of a term. But unusual does not mean improper.

There was nothing wrong with the firings, although Gonzales has gone out of his way to look like there was, with his desperate and pathetic attempts to appear out of the loop. He has created a genuine scandal out of nothing.

LOL. You are so right. Everytime he is in front of the TV, he just looks guilty. I wonder why he cant’ handle a bit of heat. Goodness even I have to put up with that on occasion. You just have to keep the principles and fight for what is right no matter what the scale.
