1 Corinthians 7:14 “For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.”

So there’s a little wiggle room there. :-)

As an atheist I find the existence of the Koran somewhat hard to explain. How else can one account for a book of such exquisitely structured evil without at least considering the possibility of the existence of a Satan?

Satan despises the Jewish people because it was through the Jews that God brought forth the Savior of the world- the Savior, who, when He was crucified, defeated Satan for all eternity.

Satan has used various psychopaths and monsters through the millenia to attempt to destroy the Jews. Now its the Muslims' turn to be used, and they are more than willing tools.

I feel guilty about posting an entire article because of the space that it uses. :) (I'm not joking).

However, I did post the entire thing at the request of Larry Lucido. I'll spend the rest of the day thinking of ways to do penance.....

If Abraham and Sarah had waited for God to fulfill His promise of giving them a son, instead of jumping ahead of Him, there wouldn’t have been an Ishmael and no problems now.

Just as the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible through men who believed in Him, obeyed Him, and followed Him, so the Koran was written by Satan through an individual who was "in tune" to him.

What I find amazing is that when a Muslim goes to Mecca or Medina (can't remember which one) for the "Haj", one of the things they do is circle some structure that is supposed to represent Satan and through rocks at the structure. People have been trampled to death during the frenzy of throwing rocks at Satan.

We can only guess at how many of these people, after they're done throwing rocks at Satan, make their way to Israel or Iraq and blow up some innocent people. It would be completely mind-boggling if you didn't know who these people actually follow.

Why would anyone marry into a death cult? The pressure to convert would be enormous. The penalty for leaving after conversion is death.
The only people who would convert would be those with absolutely no self-esteem.

Actually, no wiggle room. 1 Corinthians 7:14 is talking about a person who becomes a Christian who is already married, while the spouse has not converted. He was telling them not to leave their spouse on that account.

I can't tell you how many times I have wondered why a woman, who was born into freedom and normalcy, would knowingly and willingly marry a Muslim man.

At the place where I work, there is a Muslim imam, from Egypt, who married an American woman back in the early 1980s. One day he brought pictures in to show me and there was his wife, clad head-to-toe in the Muslim garb for women, and his daughters as well. This woman was a Methodist before she married the imam.

I think that women who marry Muslim men are made to understand exactly what their place is in Islamic society, and I don't think it's too long before it is made clear to them that the kids will be raised Muslim. The imam himself told me that he told his wife that their children would be raised as Muslims- she didn't have to convert, but her kids would be Muslims. I can't imagine being in that situation- either choose to become chattel or lose your kids.

I agree with you. With what we have learned since 911 about this "religon", I think the women who now marry these men have the same issues as those who marry prison inmates.

Non-existent self-esteem.

Well-put!. That's playing with fire.

At the outset of any new relationship, I make it a matter of course to inform the new guy he'd best never lay his hands on me. "You gotta sleep time." No way I'd get involved with with a follower of the Religion of PeaceTM!

There are ethical issues that are hard to work out. This isn't one of them.

I stand by what I said. If I fall in love, that's who I marry; Christian or not. Call it a sin if you want. I don't. And before you go quoting scripture, remember that the Holy Bible was gathered together by committee. Biblical scholars still argue today that some books were left out that belong, and some books were included that don't belong. Not to mention that it is full of metaphors.

Just so long as you don’t imagine that you are in any way thinking like a Christian. A Christian’s fundamental premise is “Jesus is Lord” (Romans 10:9). Yours is “my feelings are lord.” A Christian believes, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15). Yours is, “Commandments, schommandments.”

I don’t falsely say I’m a pagan. Please just don’t falsely say you’re a Christian.

Also, I believe whether or not I’m a Christian is between me and God.

Not once you open your mouth.

I have not stated whether or not I am a Christian. Even if I had, just because my belief differs from yours doesn't make you the sole authority on whether or not I am.

I didn’t say you said you were. I say once you say you are, others have the right to judge.

You can believe you’re a parrot in your heart all you want. Open your mouth and claim to be one, rational grownups get to make some judgments.
