WASHINGTON - I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, will be sentenced Tuesday morning in federal court before U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton, who presided over his trial.
The sentencing begins at 9:30 a.m. The judge will inform Libby of his fate, the term of his prison time, if any, and whether he will be remanded immediately to a federal facility.
Libby has appealed his conviction and may be allowed to remain free until that appeal is resolved.

If Bush wants to try to get back on the good side of his base, he will pardon Libby immediately.
I’m afraid it would be too little, too late, though...
It would still be the decent thing to do.
I would expect that as soon as Libby asks for a pardon he will receive one. My guess is he hasn’t and won’t until the appeals process is over. But if the judge (is it Ito? or at least Ito-like) gives him ANY jail time then perhaps Libby will ask for the pardon before he has to serve any time.

When will Chappaquiddick Kennedy be sentenced for DUI manslaughter, leaving the scene, obstruction of justice, and perjury? When will Kerry be sentenced for treason?
When they become Republicans.
In order to balance the scales of justice, they'll throw the book at Libby.
Be interesting to see how many times we hear or read “Scotter Libby Sentenced” as compared to “William Jefferson Indicted.”
The real media bias is in what is and isn’t reported.

Nor is there anything to feel good about Ronnie Earle and Delay, Nifong and the Duke Boys....etc.

Of course alQatie Couric left out the “Democrat” part when she headlined about William Jefferson last night. I don’t know if she mentioned it in the report as we surfed on by.
This farce is an insult to kangaroos.

Unfortunately it's deadly serious for not only Scooter, but every other person whoever works for an (R) administration.
Well, if they do sentence Scooter to jail and he does not get a pardon, I think one of the first things Fred Thompson will do when he becomes President is to pardon Scooter.
