NEW DOCUMENTARY TO EXPLORE JOSEPH SMITH, MITT ROMNEY & THE MORMON QUEST FOR THE WHITE HOUSE
Los Angeles, CA -- May 14, 2007--A Mormon President, the first documentary film to explore the Mormon Prophet, Joseph Smith's campaign for the US Presidency and its implications for the candidacy of another Mormon, Mitt Romney, has begun production and is slated for a fall 2007 release.
Produced and directed by filmmaker Adam Christing, the film will be released in the heat of a presidential campaign that includes Romney and is part of a movie-making trend of examining the history of the Mormon religion, which includes the forthcoming September Dawn, the story of the Mountain Meadows Massacre of 1857, and PBS's The Mormons.
Christing, who grew up in the Reorganized Latter Day Saint Church and is a member of the Mormon History Association, says he is not producing a "hit" piece or a "puff" piece about the Mormon Prophet. "This film may be upsetting to "anti-Mormons" because it shows what a generous man and visionary leader Joseph Smith was," he noted. "It may shock some Mormons because it documents the untold story of Smith's secret marriages to more than 30 women and his campaign for President which led directly to his murder in 1844."
Christing who studied theology at Biola University in Los Angeles says his movies tend to focus on the intersection of faith and power. His most recent film Change Your Life! is a mockumentary about the wacky world of multi-level marketing, and is now in post production.
Romney's candidacy has heightened interest in issues related to Mormons and politics and created what Christing calls a "focus moment." "Focus moments are when events and ideas connect to create interest in a particular topic that may have been previously neglected," commented Christing. "We experienced similar moments about Catholicism and Judaism when Kennedy and Lieberman ran for office. Because of Romney we are now in a focus moment about Mormonism. People are becoming very interested in the history of the Mormon church and its connection to the political culture of our nation."
Christing promises to deliver a film that will be both educational and entertaining:
"This is a serious piece, but it will be very engaging," he noted. "I've been fascinated by Joseph Smith's story ever since I was a kid. Here's a man who started a religion, built a city bigger than Chicago in its day, became a Master Mason, and ran for President. He packed more adventure into 3 years than most people experience in a lifetime."

As far as the ASV, why in the world would I want to read a man altered version of the bible. I could go read "The Living Bible". I call it the "Baptist friendly bible". They removed the word "Third" completely from 1 Cor 12:2. I'll stick with the King James Verion.
Why would Paul have to explain to the people of Corinth that he didn't mean the space above their heads when he was referring to Heaven? Do you honestly think they didn't know what Heaven -where God dwells meant?

No the explaination is 1 Cor 15:40.
He's trying to describe to you the differences of the glories and those that of the bodies of those ressurected to those glories after the resurrection.
40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
In 1 Cor, Paul describes the glory of the kingdoms of the after life, where God dwells. One's glory is as bright as the sun. Another is like the moon(in brightness), and one is like the stars. Then in 2 Cor 12:2; he tells you he was taken up to the third heaven or the brightest glory where God dwells.
That makes sense. It flows with what Paul is teaching them. It fits with what Jesus taught.

I Corinthians 15:40 does not reference nor describe 2 Corinthians 2:12. There is a reason why...
2 Corinthians comes after I Corinthians... not before.
In all my conversations with mormons, the pattern seems to be the same. Context doesn’t matter. Specific words don’t matter. Even Greek or Hebrew meanings don’t matter. All that matters is that on the surface it uses one word they have imbued with the meaning they read back into it. That is sufficient to prove a mormonism doctrine. This is one more instance.
As to versions... I’ll take ANY accurate translation over the Joe Smith translation that adds words to the Bible that are not there in the original text.

What does it mean when the Bible
refers to the Third Heaven?
At the time of ancient Israel they did not have as complete an understanding of the universe as we do today. So they wrote in terms they were familiar with. The Jews spoke of three heavens. The first heaven consisted of the the earth atmosphere where the clouds and birds were. The second heaven was where the sun, stars, and moon was. The third heaven was the dwelling place of God. When Paul said he was caught up to the third heaven (2 Cor. 12:2), he was referring to the very dwelling place of God.
As a note, the Mormons erringly teach that the three heavens consist of telestial, terrestrial, and celestial. They divide them into compartments dwelt by people after they die.
The First Heaven: Earth Atmosphere
* Deut. 11:17 — Then the LORD’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce....
* Deut. 28:12 — The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.

The Third Heaven: God’s Dwelling Place

The highest heaven, the third heaven is indicated by the reference to the Throne of God being the highest heaven:

A comparison to ANY Hebrew edition of Genesis or ANY English translation available today will reveal the astonishing heresies of this lying adulterous false prophet.

Tell me about your church. Surely God would have given your church leaders a greater understanding of the eternities. Right? More than me.

If anyone is wondering, Genesis 50 ends at verse 26 in the real Old Testament. Just to make it interesting, the liar Smith sprinkled his additional text within the original text.
If I seek to convert you, it will not be to a church, it will be to the Lord Jesus Christ, Himself. He is the redeemer, the reason for resistence to your cult. Christianity is not about a man made church, it is about The Bride of Christ, The Church. The scriptures have given us all we need to understand the 'eternities'. A Christian with God's Holy Spirit within isn't diverted by the lies of a false prophet like Joe Smith ... and Paul warned of such false prophets to come.

I've seen people like you before. Like the Focus On The Family employee that used to picket in front of my Church building every Sunday. He would hold a sign that read, "The Mormon Jesus is a murderer." He would yell obscenities at my wife and children as we entered the building.
He said it was his ministry.
