But she's also a throwback emblem of political entitlement whose career has been marked with infamous moments, such as the time she pushed an opposing lawmaker's vote button - for her own bill - in the Assembly.

Her initial explanation was that she'd been distracted while reaching for her cell phone as she pulled up to a stoplight. But she expanded her story after reports emerged that witnesses had called 911 to report her driving erratically over a 30-mile stretch on Interstate 80.
Three days after the crash, and for the first time, she revealed that for the past 10 years, she has suffered from leukemia. She said she didn't remember driving dangerously or that she even made the "senator" comment, suggesting her foggy memory may have been due to "the very powerful regimen of medication" she takes every day.
Her medical condition has quieted her critics, providing room for sympathy while the CHP investigates and Migden seeks a neurological test to determine what role her leukemia or medication may have had. ...

Migden used to work out at the health club I belong to in S.F. Staff members there told me of her nasty outbursts. Whenever I saw her there she looked angry and she was often very pushy with the other patrons. I’m thankful I haven’t seen her there in a long time. Migden has always been nasty and pushy. It has nothing to do with any disease.
Has she disclosed any medical records?
I don’t believe this excuse but if her medication affects her ability to drive she should not be driving.

It’s illegal to drive under the influence of any drug whether it’s a prescription or some other drug or substance. Her claim is grounds for immediate suspension of her driving license as well as charges. In fact if she’s having incidents that leave her unable to remember what happened or passing out or being disoriented whether caused by drugs or other substances or an illness it is grounds for suspension of her driving privileges. If you have diabetes and your blood sugar is out of control (low or high) and you have a problem with controlling your car you lose your driving privileges. Same applies to people who have seizure disorders. They have to prove to the DMV that they aren’t a hazard and it’s not easy. The DMV based upon her statements should immediately suspend her license until such time she proves she is safe to be driving a car as any other citizen would be required to do.
Reporters should be challenged to see if they have asked the DMV to comment on her statements and to explain why they haven’t suspended her driving privileges. We should keep the pressure up on the media to ask the question.
She did a good amount of damage to what looks like the left side of the vehicle, as well.
You’d think the CHP might have asked about that?
