BERLIN: : In a summit already strained by weeks of discord over trade, security and energy issues, Russian and European Union leaders ended their two-day meeting exchanging barbs over human rights and failing to start talks aimed at bringing the two economies closer together. During an unusually long and acrimonious news conference in Volshsky Utyos, near the southern Russian city of Samara, the differences between the two sides were stark, with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany and European Commission President Jose Maria Barossa clashing with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

;-) I understand some progress was made: the EU and Russia talk frankly and candid about their differences. Of course, Putin compares his oppression with the measures of counter-terrorism in Germany ahead of the G8 summit in June. Unlike Russia, we distinguish between peaceful demonstrators and violent rioters.
Furthermore, Putin´s trial to divide Poland the EU has failed. Poland can be assured to have the solidarity of the entire EU.
Well done, Chancellor Merkel.
Not at all. Merkel is digging her grave. She’s either dumb or has a picture of old Adolf on her wall.
How so?
Russia has said they will vets the abomination of a kosovo.
Russia is supporting pro life
Russia is arresting marxists and other assorted soros sponsored lunatics. Nothing wrong with that given their horrid history with assorted other bolsheviks.
IN short, Russia is more conservative and principled than any of these Eurabians. And they have been trying to do so in less than 20 years...it took western Europe til 1945 to get their political act together...and that only after the US getting into the thick of it.
Europe has found their latest whipping boy Putin and dare not point their smarmy bloody fingers at themselves.
Whe I hear Belgium of all idiot nations criticizing the Russians-—I want to laugh it’s so bizarre.
for later
The last thing Russia needs is yet another Revolution. Every time one has happened it has resulted in chaos and death. The fact is that the foot soldiers for Kasparov’s movement are National Bolsheviks, anarchists, and other extremist elements. Considering the events of 1917 when a small group like the Bolsheviks came to power by ignoring the results of free elections for the consistent assembly, Putin has every right and even a responsibility to repress anybody who utters the words regime change within Russia. Putin is doing what Kerensky failed to to in 1917. Just look at the mess in Ukraine. Amazing how many Freepers are pulling for the radicals.
Actually - it looks like she had more ... you know what :-))), than many of the men involved in politics
Excellent post. I really believe that some freepers are atuck in the cold war scenario and their righteous anger at Soviet Communism...which is essentially only alive outside Russia some of which is right here on our US campuses!
They are unaware of shifting alliances and new dangers coming from the EU and leftover garbage from the Clinton Socialist regime and friends.
thank you!
Perhaps Sarkosy, Merkel and the rest of the EU will actually wake up and realize socialism is a failure, free enterprise works, and the kow towing to Islamofascism is actually evil. If they do, a renaissance of morality and common sense will actually start a revival in Europe of statesmenship and bravery;replacing the cowardice and apathy of the last 50 years. Heaven knows; they might actually decide to defend themselves against Putin and the Muslims all at one fell stroke! And we could bring our troops home to man our own borders!
“Furthermore, Putin´s trial to divide Poland the EU has failed. Poland can be assured to have the solidarity of the entire EU.”
Yes, it has been noticed and loudly commented in Poland. It has done more to Polish - EU relations then any sly-talk in European Parliament.
Furthermore, Putin´s trial to divide Poland the EU has failed. Poland can be assured to have the solidarity of the entire EU.==
Simply EU became the hostage of Poland stupid things:). If it suits EU so be it. Russia may treat EU in whole same way as Poland.
