FR INTERVIEW: Lila Rose - the UCLA student who exposed a crime by Planned Parenthood L.A.

Lila Rose, the young student at UCLA who took on the abortion establishment, has agreed to take her expose off YouTube and turn the tape over to Planned Parenthood L.A. PPLA had threatened a lawsuit and claimed that what Rose did was illegal.

The gutsy, pro-life student had posed as a 15-year-old girl who was pregnant. She caught on tape an employee of the clinic advising her to claim she was 16 so that her "23-year-old boyfriend" would not have to be reported to the police for statutory rape.

Rose was not entirely clear whether her taping a crime without permission was a violation of the law. "But," she said, "my attorney from the Alliance Defense Fund thought it would be best to comply with PPLA's demands."

"They may have the tapes," said Rose, "but it is hard to silence the truth." She has been all over talk radio and has made appearances on O'Reilly and other shows. The media requests keep coming.

Rose recently launched a pro-life magazine at UCLA called The Advocate. The first printing was 4,000 copies, which are handed out on campus. A group of private sponsors made it possible, but Rose indicated that the magazine is in need of more funding.

Helping in the expose was the other half of this young dynamic duo, James O'Keefe. O'Keefe is a recent graduate of Rutgers.

Rose is a Christian, but that is not the only reason for her pro-life position. She believes that the most fundamental right of all people is the right to life.

This is not Rose's first venture in the pro-life movement. In high school in San Jose, CA, she founded a group called "Live Action" that is still going strong. She plans to do more investigation journalism in the pro-life arena with her newest venture, Live Action Films.

Understandably, on a campus such as UCLA, a hotbed of leftist causes and influences, she has faced some resistance. The administration was not pleased when she wrote a less than complimentary expose about the clinic on campus. Those at UCLA feel that the only "choice" is an abortion. She is determined to show that there really is another choice.

The DAILY BRUIN, the very liberal publication on campus, has not been very kind in their remarks about Rose's activities. That is not, however, going to stop her. She is a very determined young woman.

Sounds a lot like Bloomie’s undercover “straw purchaser” gun buys. Somebody who can obtain the product/service in question perfectly legally goes in and deceives the seller into believing otherwise, with the intention of manipulating the seller into agreeing to the illegal sale, and then wants legal action taken against the seller.

As a UCLA grad, I think this girl will go through hell with her peers.

I wish our fearless leaders in Washingtn, D.C. had 1/2 the guts this young lady has. Planned Parenthood is a terrible organization that has helped our demise as a free country for many years. I hope their “advisors” are prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and the organization is fined out of existence.

Forty years ago (when I had finished) UCLA was anything but a left-wing bastion. As a matter of fact, I went to the student union to hear Ronald Reagan announce his run for Governor. Any sort of anti-war protest was a failure.

Times have changed.

Bloomberg’s thugs didn’t go to a gun store and say, “This gun is for my homey”. Totally different circumstances.

Yes, except for the part where Planned Parenthood is selling Saturday Night Specials with the serial number filed off in the back room...

It's been shown that PP has a nationwide pattern of this kind of stuff. They're protecting victimizers of children.

Remember how upset the media got over the Catholic priest thing? **Crickets** here...

Historix, she might go through hell with her peers, but she seems like the kind of girl who can take it.

A really gutsy lady, Doug. More proof that “pro-choice” is just a cover for pro-abortion.
