Our planet is just five years away from climate change catastrophe - but can still be saved, according to a new report.
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) warns governments have until 2012 to "plant the seeds of change" and make positive moves to limit carbon emissions.

Guess what happens in 5 years. Solar cycle 24 will reach its maximum. Looks like the GW Prophets are disparate to complete their socialist goals before the cooling begins. It's gonna get hotter alright, but not because of anything mankind is doing.

“”plant the seeds of change” and make positive moves to limit carbon emissions.”
Alarmism combined with weasel words.
Change always happens — so no matter what the world looks like in 2012, the WWF will be able to claim success.

I am old enough to remember when “Global Cooling” was the fear of the wacko scientists...and that was in the early and mid 70s.
Most people think the world began when they were born. I believe that is in part the failure of the schools to actually teach a little history.

This was the coldest April in a hundred years, I believe, and May has been cold, too. Here in Vermont since May 1 all but a few nights have been below freezing. Several times it got down into the teens.
Of course, if you mention global warming to a true believer, you will be told that climate change is complicated and that this recent cold streak just goes to prove that it’s true.

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) WWF is the initials for World Wildlife Fund. Either World Wide Fund for Nature is a part of World Wildlife Fund or someone made a mistake.
World Wildlife Fund fought an expensive legal battle with World Wrestling Federation for the right to use WWF and won.

governments have until 2012 to "plant the seeds of change" Let's get specific. The date is 12/21/2012. The Mayan's, the Hopi's and many other cults are predicting this will be the last day. There is no reason why the Cult of Gore should not also join the band.

Exactly, who’s keeping track of all these numerous countdowns!
Where is the one from 2002 saying in five years...blah, blah...death, bees dying....
Or the one from 1997...climate change in 10 years....blah, blah, +1.2 degrees...blah...
Pull those “experts” out and ask them what happened? I want to know: Why are we still here???

Was it the 80s or 90s that the population “experts” were predicting we’d never make it past the Millennium because we were going to populate ourselves to death.
I remember them predicting mass starvation, etc.

The stunning lack of reasoning ability of these nutjobs is amazing. The Number 1, prime reason for global Warming is the Sun. And nothing we do here has any effect on the Sun. Recently, the Supreme Court paved the way for carbon dioxide to be counted as a pollutant. Now that is truly stupid, because plant life needs carbon dioxide to live the way we need oxygen. Plants take in carbon dioxide, and give off oxygen, nd we take in oxygen, and exhale carbon dioxide. Sounds to me like a rather simple, yet sophisticated symbiotic relationship. If Carbon levels are truly rising, maybe we should look to planting more trees and other plant life that use it. Not to mention that plant life beautifies things, as well.
All of this "carbon credit" baloney and demands for the industrialized world to basically de-indutrialize to "save the planet" flies in the face of reason, and common sense. It amazes me that most, if not all, of the enviro-wacko people believe in Evolution (making a general statement here, so take a deep breath and relax), which basically has more in common with the steady-state earth theory, which postulates that change happens slowly, that the earth is pretty much in equilibrium, totally ignore the geological evidence which shows that climate change has happened many times over the course of the existence of this world, and there have been cataclysmic events which have contributed to those climate changes, some more, some less, but the climate of the planet has never been in a state of equilibrium. These morons think that we can stop the inevitible change by reducing our so-called "carbon footprint", as though the climate has never changed until now, and its all our fault.
Not a single thing they propose will make one whit of difference. The climate will change despite all we can do. We need to be looking to how to deal with what it changes to, rather than trying to stop it.

Solar cycle 24 will reach its maximum. NIV Luke 21:25-28
25. "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
26. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
27. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

Well, I guess I better cut that one sheet of toilet paper I’ve been using in half.
Seriously, I don’t know why these global warming people care. Many of them believe in evolution. When man is just a combination of cells that occured accidentally via a long chain of events, why does it really matter if man is gone?
