Here is the first post I found on DUmmieland:

"I hope he burns in hell, because that's where he's going when he dies.

Falwell will never get any hint of sympathy from me, he's an evil man and honestly I'm not being hard enough on him in this post."

    Minister. O Lord, save thy servant;
    Answer. Who putteth his trust in thee.
    Minister. Send him help from thy holy place;
    Answer. And evermore mightily defend him.
    Minister. Let the enemy have no advantage of him;
    Answer. Nor the wicked approach to hurt him.
    Minister. Be unto him, O Lord, a strong tower;
    Answer. From the face of his enemy.
    Minister. O Lord, hear our prayer.
    Answer. And let our cry come unto thee.

Minister.

O LORD, look down from heaven, behold, visit, and relieve this thy servant. Look upon him with the eyes of thy mercy, give him comfort and sure confidence in thee, defend him in all danger, and keep him in perpetual peace and safety; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Here may be said any one or more of the Psalms following, with Antiphon and Collect.

    Antiphon. I did call upon the Lord with my voice; And he heard me out of his holy hill.

Domine, quid multiplicati? Psalm iii.

LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise against me.
    Many one there be that say of my soul, There is no help for him in his God.
    But thou, O LORD, art my defender; thou art my worship, and the lifter up of my head.
    I did call upon the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill.
    I laid me down and slept, and rose up again; for the LORD sustained me.
    Salvation belongeth unto the LORD; and thy blessing is upon thy people.

The Collect.

HEAR us, Almighty and most merciful God and Saviour; extend thy accustomed goodness to this thy servant who is grieved with sickness. Visit him, O Lord, with thy loving mercy, and so restore him to his former health, that he may give thanks unto thee in thy holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Some of my favorite quotes from Jerry Falwell..

The idea that religion and politics don’t mix was invented by the Devil to keep Christians from running their own country.
— Rev Jerry Falwell, Sermon, July 4, 1976

The Bible is the inerrant ... word of the living God. It is absolutely infallible,without error in all matters pertaining to faith and practice, as well as in areas such as geography, science, history, etc.
— Jerry Falwell, Finding Inner Peace and Strength

There is no separation of church and state. Modern US Supreme Courts have raped the Constitution and raped the Christian faith and raped the churches by misinterpreting what the Founders had in mind in the First Amendment to the Constitution.
— Jerry Falwell (attributed: source unknown)

GOD BLESS!!I am praying for your full recovery..and for your family that they will have peace no matter what the outcome is...We need you Jerry liberal are scared to death of a man like you because they know you will tell it like you feel it is.AMEN!!

I suppose this day had to come eventually. But what a loss.

What a man, a great man of God, bold, courageous, selfless, fearless. One of his many legacies, Liberty U., will live on and build the Kingdom in his absence.

Well, done, good, great and faithful servant.

All you can do is remind people here not to do the same thing when the tables are turned.

Not a problem here, except for the trolls who pretend to be FReepers.

"He is in gravely serious condition-per Fox."

That's what they say when you're already gone, and they haven't decided when/how to officially announce it. They said the same with Princess Diana.

I suspect Rodney King, who is a good guy, was just being sarcastic..since there are plenty of people who honestly believe what he wrote..JMHO.

Lighten up, people. Pray for Rev. Falwell..

IIRC, AppyPappy is indeed a local who keep us posted with live updates during the VT shootings.

I suspect that Rev. Falwell is pretty confident of the outcome of that meeting with his Maker. My prayers are more for his family and friends who will miss him.

As one who is also confident of my place in eternity my only reluctance to get started is concern for my family.

You’ll need to take a bath after you leave that horrible place.

Oh my dear God in Heaven, please perform Your mighty miracle on this man, Your servant. Please restore him fully, his faculties intact, his bodily functions as You divinely designed them to be. I pray this in Your will, oh, Lord. Still I ask, please do not take this man from us, but allow him to continue to be a blessing to all who know him and know of him, Father. In Jesus’ Holy Name. Amen.

Someone over on LP just said, “Maybe he OD’d on Religion?”

I can see a friend walking into Jerry’s recovery room and asking that.

When you consider that he’s built Liberty University into a 10,000+-student institution, with very well-regarded academic departments (and not just in theology), in only 36 years? It’s an amazing accomplishment.

There’s going to be a lot of sadness on Candler’s Mountain tonight.
