The Rev. Jerry Falwell arrived at Lynchburg General Hospital today around noon after being found unresponsive in his office. Ron Godwin, the executive vice president of Liberty University, confirmed that Falwell was found unconscious in his office after missing an appointment this morning.

I should also say that this is one of the reasons I am "addicted" to FR - you get breaking news here before anywhere else. If you had to wait for the news to be reported on the yahoo or google or aol home page, you'd need a couple of shaves before it appeared. Also, freepers post news stories - legitimate news stories - that don't appear many other places. This site is a national treasure.

But that's all a diversionary thought. Back to Rev. Fallwell. His theology and style don't totally square with mine, but I respect him as a man of backbone, courage, integrity and solid faith. I'm pray for him and his family.
