Media: When Dennis Hastert was accused of profiting from congressional earmarks last year, media went into a front-page frenzy over "corruption." With Nancy Pelosi now in the same spot, it's a back-page story.
In case you haven't heard, and maybe you haven't, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi slipped in a $25 million provision for San Francisco's waterfront on a $15 billion federal water bill at the last minute. It's pork barrel spending, yes, but more than that.

The MSM helped elect the new Democratic congress, so they’re not about to tarnish the victory by holding them to the same standards as Republicans.
Perhaps the various alphabet channels need to have the story emailed and faxed to them from throughout the nation, asking why they didn’t seem to know about it.
It’s an inconvenient truth that all politicians like these pork barrel projects and try to steer money to their districts and their pet projects. You would swear that only Republicans use the earmarks based on what gets reported on.
But the spineless wonders wouldn't want to do that. Someone might call them mean-spirited or not invite them to a cocktail party or something.

Well you expect that from the National Review, though. But I guess your point is that CBS linked it. Obviously they did not clear that with Katie Couric first.
Maybe Katie’s threatened millions have caused her to think “funny thoughts”, ya think?
She has to KNOW going right will improve her ratings.
After all, new conservatives are just liberals who got mugged.

Duh. Why, does one suppose, Big-Daddy, Brudda, and Suga-Daddy, had Nanny-baby run for political office all those years ago? They have all the bases covered and have for a long, long time. The MSM and DEMS know when to keep their mouths shut...tight.
If we had a stronger AG than Gonzalez,the DOJ would be all over this.
