Al Gore, Ugly American
Investor's Business Daily ^ | May 2, 2007

Does Al Gore have nothing better to do than butt into other countries' politics? In his grand bid to save the planet, he's damaging real nations and undercutting U.S. ties. He's worse than the Ugly American.

Gore flew over to Canada last week and loudly blasted the Canadian government for its rejection of the Kyoto Treaty as "a complete and total fraud."

Speaking at a Toronto screening of his movie "An Inconvenient Truth," he announced that the Canadian government's new, more realistic plan to reduce greenhouse gases "is designed to mislead the Canadian people."

Not only did he offer an opinion of global warming, he offered an opinion about the Canadian government, too -- as if his Oscar for his error-filled documentary had gone to his head and he suddenly confused himself with the ruler of the world.

That wasn't Gore's first back-kick in the international china shop. A few days earlier, he publicly insulted Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, our closest ally in Latin America, by refusing to share a podium with him at a Miami environmental conference.

Gore justified his lack of class by making wild accusations that Uribe has ties to Colombia's paramilitary guerrillas and is thus a human rights violator.

Great article. Really portrays Gore as a childish chump who goes around pissing off world leaders.

Run, Big Al, run....

After Gore lost the Presidential election, he went off the deep end and lost it. He truly believes that he should be King and can’t handle rejection.

Al Gore alienates our allies and Nancy Pelosi cozies up to our enemies. Democrat citizen-diplomacy conducted by arrogant idiots.

Wish I had kept the cartoon after the 2000 elections, an aged Al in an old folks home with ballots all around screaming, “Count ‘em again”.

Is he compensating for being denied what was rightfully his, in his mind, in 2000? (not a psychologist, but sometimes I play one on FR)

And Laurie David was quoted as begging him to "adopt" her, because he's a father-figure to her. I don't know if she was joking, but these Enviros are just plain weird.

Time for him to stop this destructive childishness.

He never grew up, he just grew older...

And they say the world hates us because of Bush! Actually when a lefty politician tries telling the world what to do by pushing phony anti progress, anti capitalist nonsense then the rest of the world will no doubt tolerate American imperialism.

"...In his grand bid to save the planet..."

That should read...."In his grand bid to save himself...."

Selling Carbon Credits is just the "Snake Oil de Jour".........the latest Algore religion of Climatology only exposes the sheep who will follow anything - hope they don’t break any of those curly-que energy saving light bulbs which are NOT cost effective if broken...cleaning up the Mercury can cost you thousands.

To his credit, Algore has raised awareness about the Hoax of Global Warming and opened doors that were once closed to the real science about GW. Good on 'ya Al!
