Toi be fair, the President made a bad decision by not returning to Washington, choosing to do a fund raiser in California and returning to Crawford.
I know, I know, he can ‘do anything’ from ‘anywhere’.
But the act of leadership required he returned to his office. Had he done so, the leftwingers wouldn’t have had a golden opportunity to slam him for months afterwards.
It was a political misjudgement.
How exactly would his return to Washington done one thing to help anyone in need in that bowl of soup?
I am not willing to give fake passes for lying destructive minds, because given the circumstances there was nothing President Bush could do as the governor had willingly tied his helpful hands.
Oh please. If President Bush walked across Lake Ponchatrain, all his critics would have said was, "You see, he can't swim."
