Basinger 'hires bodyguard for daughter' after Baldwin phone rant

Feuding Kim Basinger hired a bodyguard to protect her daughter Ireland after her ex-husband left an angry message on the girl's phone, it has been claimed.
The star is said to have arranged 24-hour cover for Ireland after her father labelled the 11-year-old a "thoughtless little pig" on the voicemail, which was leaked to the media.
Mother and daughter were seen in Los Angeles over the weekend - accompanied by the burly security man.

Baldwin has apologised for his outburst but a judge has since banned him from seeing his daughter before a court hearing on May 4.
The leaked message was contained in a sealed court file in the former couple's three-year custody fight over the girl, who lives with her mother in Los Angeles.
His lawyers said Basinger was the only parent with access to the vociemail.

"I am sorry for what happened," Baldwin wrote on his web site. "But I am equally sorry that a court order was violated, which had deliberately been put under seal in this case.
"Although I have been told by numerous people not to worry too much, as all parents lose their patience with their kids, I am most saddened that this was released to the media because of what it does to a child," he wrote.
Baldwin has been keeping his head down at a holiday home near New York.
He lost his temper with his daughter when she didn't answer the phone for a court-authorised call with him.

She’s a nut. I don’t like Alec Baldwin, but this was such a set-up and a huge setback for Father’s rights.
Kim for a mother, and Alec for a father. That little girl is going to grow up and make some guy’s life v-e-r-y long.
I’m sure big, tough Alec doesn’t want any part of that bodyguard. It’s one thing to beat up on Kim, and push around 11 year old girls, but this guy will hit back.
He didn't merely 'lose patience' with his child. He exploded on her with a vengence and he threatened her. Too bad he isn't surrounded by people to tell him the truth about himself.
This is almost funny, if it weren't so tragic. What an idiot.
I feel so bad for this child...some people are making excuses for Alec, like what parent has not been angry with their kids.... I know I have been angry with my kids, but to call her names like he did is beyond my understanding....

Basinger leaks the nutty phone message, thus dragging her daughter into this tabloid scandal. She is now supermarket checkout line fodder. Brutal, just brutal.
