Some of the details of the Duke University rape case may never be solved, but one thing is startlingly clear: Crystal Gail Mangum, the woman who accused three college lacrosse players of locking her in a bathroom and raping her, has had a very troubled life.
Mangum has been identified by name publicly several times, including by lawyers during press conferences on the case.
According to North Carolina Department of Corrections records, she was born on July 18, 1978, to a truck driver. She grew up the youngest of three children, not far from the house where she claimed she was assaulted in 2006. Durham is a slow-paced Southern town with equally large populations of black and white residents and a history of racial tensions — including those between a wealthy, predominantly white university community and its poorer black neighbors.

Wow. What a train wreck. It’s too bad, in a way. With that family I’m guessing she never had much of a chance. She was a goner, early in life. Probably the closest she got to pulling out of the inevitable tailspin was the stint in the Navy. Too bad she didn’t take better advantage of it. She could have.
Too bad for those kids. Not much hope for them.
IMHO that's probably what this whole thing was about. Some disagreement about the value of whatever services were rendered.

It’s time criminal charges are filed against the accuser.

No charges will be filed against her. The Attorney General and other law enforcement folks want this to all go away as quickly as possible.
Too bad. Want she did nearly destroyed three lives. Now she will hide out as a victim, and the media will move on.
You might learn to hold your tongue better ... the more you smear this very troubled woman, the more you smear the boys who went out to hire her for their party. Regradless of what hse accused, the reality of that party and the intent to utilize her services remains a fact. Think about that as you watch the presser today of these young men wrongly accused.
let’s see is Jesse, Al and the leader of the Nation of Islam going to say there sorry for all the nasty things they said or how about some in the media? No they are going to focus on Imus being a racist yet the media and black leaders wrongly accused them (not all) but alot. I remember the Rich White Boy comments. Shame shame shame
