He’s an absolute natural.
That interview should have left no doubt that he’s the next President. It’s written all over him.
I will bet the farm he will announce.

My brother-in-law had lymphoma almost 20 years ago.
He went through chemo and is alive and well and mean as ever.(He doesn't read FR so I can say that...;)
My point is, based on the description, IT'S NO BIG DEAL

Yep.
One of the things that really hit me- he took it to us...he didn’t take it to “the press”...

Did anyone else notice the change in his demeanor when the topic moved from Him to Issues?
Unlike a certain Pols, he clearly did not enjoy talking about himself. Nor did he attempt to gain empathy for himself; as some Pols would have tried.
When the topic changed to issues, he clearly lightened up and (to me) appeared much more engaged in the conversation, and comfortable and spoke with conviction.
That's humility and true character folks
He wants to hear from us. Let's tell him "Game on"

I like Fred, but PLEASE tell him to get those bags lifted under his eyes. His appearance could be a turnoff as he looks like a sad puppy dog. It’s a simple operation. And appearance IS important to our younger set.

I wouldnt say NBC cant, I would say NBC wont.
Oh, I agree. I'm not aware of any law that would require them to yank all Fred's appearances. I was just making a comment on how silly the notion is that it's somehow improper for a Presidential candidate to appear in the media as an actor or commentator.
If NBC decides not to air any more of Fred's appearances on Law and Order it would either be to deflect criticism or for their own political reasons.

That'd be exactly the wrong thing to do. Much of Fred's appeal is due to his genuine, straight forward nature. If news of him getting plastic surgery got out, imagine how phony he'd look.

I think it's the "equal time" issue.
Airing episodes of L&O during a campaign could be construed as political ads and they would be required to give equal time to the other candidate.
Just my opinion

Kerry did and it helped his appearance tremendously.

This could be important...
Fred Thompson’s character was named Jim Robinson in a 1993 TV show “Barbarians at the Gate”

I loved that movie. Based on a true incident.
That Superman costume he wore to that party was hilarious.

What NBC and L&E could do to skirt the issue of Fred on L&
E would be to use a blackout box over Fred’s face and voice changer (to Donald Duck or Darth Vader). Thus, they could still air the episodes but not use Fred’s image. People would tune in to the show in droves just to see what they would do to get around the problem.

The little known screennames have showed up on this thread posting their negatives here I see. Surprise, surprise, we ought to be able to set our watches by them by now.
I thought Fred did very well during the interview.
Mr. Prairie and I both enjoyed his answsers, his candor and his humor.
RUN FRED RUN!!
(good to see you btw, Petronski)
