Vanity Fair Attacks Rush Limbaugh and Sentences 'Environmental Sinners' to Hell Posted by Julia A. Seymour on April 9, 2007 - 17:22.

Welcome to hell global warming skeptics.

That was the message of a two-page "Dante's Inferno: Green Edition" in the May issue of Vanity Fair. That was just part of a full-issue assault in which the magazine unleashed its vitriol against businesses, conservatives and even radio host Rush Limbaugh.

Limbaugh "has blinded millions of Americans to the climate crisis," proclaimed Vanity Fair. The magazine also accused him of "the environmental destruction that he did so much to enable in his multi-decade reign of denigration."

But El Rushbo, was far from the only target in Vanity Fair's line of fire.

"It is an ongoing mystery to me why Republican administrations are such wretched protectors of our land, inasmuch as Republicans own so much of it," editor Graydon Carter said in the issue's introduction.

Vanity Fair even assigned industries and individuals to the circles of Dante's Hell.

"Then there’s the final circle – hell itself – containing “Satan, and in his three mouths: Senator James Inhofe (R-OK), former chairman of the Senate Environment Committee, tireless denouncer of global warming as ‘a hoax’ perpetrated on Americans by alarmist liberal media; President George W. Bush; Vice President Dick Cheney, former Halliburton C.E.O., convener of top-secret energy task force, which met with oil and gas executives.”

Nobody with working brain parts pays any attention to Vanity Fair, and hasn’t since the mid-80s. Intellectually, is is fourth rate drivel, glossy bird cage liner. Occasionally they do publish some nice photographs, but that’s about it.

I always get my political news from Vanity Fair. Just like I get my tax advice from Sports Illustrated.

Just goes to show liberals are upset Rush gets under their skin.

Maybe the ex, Marta, works there, or has a friend who works there. Wasn’t she in the publishing business?

Less serious than Rolling Stone

Environmentalism is just one of the replacement religions for those who reject faith in God.

As Jesus taught, it's a belief system resting on shifting sands, as there is no fixed moral reference point by which to judge.

As a sign of its 1000% commitment to environmentalism, Vanity Fair should cease publishing its magazine on paper, the production of which generates CO2 and steam (a REAL greenhouse gas).

I think there is a certain rough justice in requiring that Vanity Fair’s “hit pieces” be engraved on stone tablets.

"It is an ongoing mystery to me why Republican administrations are such wretched protectors of our land, inasmuch as Republicans own so much of it," editor Graydon Carter said in the issue's introduction.

Sometime in 2003 Carter became mentally ill, and he's been getting worse ever since.

Pollution actually decreased in every year under the Bush administration save 2002. Same record as Clinton...

Can I just assign the writers and editors of Vanity Fair to hell? I assume that will accomplish just about as much...

I wonder if they mention how many petroleum products and how much plastic (Teflon) is in the ink they use, and how many trees get chopped to print each issue.

No, wait, I suspect they never broached the subject.

Never mind.

This is great. The more shrill these lunatics get about Global Warming, the better.

Nothing like an hysterical, liberal nut case to turn most people right off. Especially one haranguing the very people they are trying to win over.
