The War Against The War On Terror
Liberals Cost Lives ^ | 4-8-07 | MissEdie

Posted on 04/08/2007 11:58:51 AM PDT by MissEdie

Finally, Liberals have found a war they have the courage to fight: a war against the War on Terror. Now they don't want the phrase "Global War on Terror" even to be used when talking about fighting terrorists. They want it dropped from political discourse. Of course, what we all know is they want the War on Terror to be stopped completely, not just the use of the phrase.

They are not just fighting on the home front in this campaign. They are also fighting overseas. Fresh from stabbing our troops in the back whilst back home in the US, Pelosi now goes to Syria to cosy up to one of our enemies, and stabs the troops and our administration in the back from over there. There can be nothing worse then having a House Speaker go overseas when your country is at war, and have them meet with the enemy. A country that assisted Iran in providing weapons to Hezbollah during its recent conflict with Israel and that has assisted terrorists in Iraq. A more blatant act of treason it is hard to imagine. The only surprise was that she did not visit Iran on the trip.

Whilst Pelosi is giving comfort to our enemy, Harry Reid is calling for funds to be cut off for our troops should Bush veto the Bill as passed by them earlier. Reid and Mullah Feingold said "Congress has a responsibility to end a war opposed by the American people". Very laudable if it wasn't pure sophistry. The American people are overwhelmingly in favor of the strict enforcement of immigration law and against the offer of amnesty to those already here. We don't hear Mullah Feingold arguing for what the American people want on that issue do we?

During this time there were 15 British military personnel being held hostage by Iran and we have Liberal darling Rosie O'Donnell supporting Iran. She only dare speak the words Liberals really believe. I wonder if Pelosi didn't call old Mahmoud in Tehran whilst on her trip. Fortunately the Brits were released. Maybe Pelosi promised them something in return, like no opposition to an Iranian nuclear weapon from a future Democrat administration.

More embarrassingly for the US, Pelosi went to Syria and lied about what the Israeli's told her about their view of future talks with Syria. Lied about it. Whether she was trying some crooked scheme of personal aggrandisement or maybe she is just that stupid, or more likely, she is just a liar, she tried to put the Israeli's in a bad position. The Israeli's came out and denounced her and right that they should. That should make them beware of any "support" they will get from a Democrat Congress and a future Democrat administration.

What to do about Liberals that behave like Pelosi, Reid and Feingold: I leave you with a quote from Abraham Lincoln:

" Congressmen who wilfully take actions during wartime that damage morale and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled or hanged."

Those were the days!!!!!!!

Do you suppose that there might be even a single member of Congress that will call for Piglosi’s censure, much less her indictment on the Logan Act?

People are geting really touchy on this. A month ago a friend who never even votes came over and picked a fight, let, and has not come back. Today, my daughter sauid the US was the biggest terrorist, and when I said that was treason talk, she told me to leave her house. It amazes me that it is coming to blows between friends and family.

Sorry to hear that, Claire. This is a long story going back 1600 years. There’s going to be some give and take on it now that it’s come to our shores.

Lincoln would be rolling in his grave if he knew how Pelosi and her gang were damaging this great country of ours.

Why? Lincoln was a Republican. He expected Democrats to promote slavery and de-humanization.

Democrats to Ban ‘Global War on Terror’

April 7, 2007

The House of Representatives Armed Services Committee Chairman, Ike Skelton (D-Mo.), announced that the phrase “global war on terror” will no longer be tolerated in his committee. “Ever since President Bush introduced the phrase ‘global war on terror’ there’s been nothing but trouble in the world,” Skelton said. “The phrase magnifies the problem and terrorizes the population.”

By banning the phrase Skelton said he hopes to “restore the sense of calm and peace that prevailed during the first Clinton Administration.” “When Bill Clinton was president there was no war on terror. People felt safe. We want them to feel safe again. The first step in restoring this sense of tranquility is to change the way we talk about the world. If we don’t call it a war it won’t seem as scary or important. Eventually, we can forget about it and return to a normal life.”

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) blasted the plan to ban the use of “global War on Terror” phrasing. “The notion that making the American people feel secure by softening our semantics fulfills our responsibility to provide for their security is idiotic,” Boehner complained. “The terrorists know they are at war with us. Pretending we aren’t at war, as the Democrats would have us do, isn’t going to persuade al-Qaeda to stop scheming to kill us.”

Skelton brushed Boehner’s criticisms aside as “the whines of a ‘sore loser.’ “Voters are tired of the war,” Skelton said. “It’s time to ‘change the channel’ so to speak. That’s what we were elected to do. It’s what we intend to do.”

Polls seem to support the Democrats on this issue. A USA Today/Gallup poll found that a majority of voters want the war to end. “It’s had its run,” said Willy Laufen, a poll respondent from Los Angeles. “It’s time for something new.”

“The war is so boring,” said Mona Lott, a respondent from Boston. “I missed an important segment of ‘Lost’ because Bush had to make another stupid speech about freedom and democracy. What about my freedom to watch what I want on TV?”

Pelosi Proclaims Self “America’s Prime Minister”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), self-proclaimed “most powerful woman in the world,” presented herself to Syrian President Bashar Assad as “America’s virtual Prime Minister” in a bid to “build the bridges called for in the Iraq Study Group report.” “I explained to President Assad that while President Bush is still nominally the American head-of-state he has been reduced to a largely ceremonial role now that my party controls both houses of congress,” Pelosi said. “President Assad agreed we need a new direction in American foreign policy. I felt there was some real bonding going on.”

Assad welcomed Pelosi’s visit and expressed hope that they could work together on “matters of mutual interest.” “I am confident that Speaker Pelosi and I share similar views on a wide range of issues,” Assad declared. “I think we both agree that Mr. Bush is a destabilizing influence in the Middle East and see the need to neutralize that influence.”

Pelosi’s donning of the hijab (a head scarf prescribed by the Quran for the protection of feminine modesty) garnered widespread praise in the region. “This prominent American female has shown a willingness to take a first step toward Islam,” said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. “I said the Americans must change their behavior and mend their ways. I have told them what they have to do, and I am glad to see that the American Prime Minister is beginning to comply. We can only hope this is a harbinger of the greater transformation yet to come.”

In related news, Pelosi’s inquiry regarding Saudi Arabia’s lack of female politicians was laughed off by Saudi officials. “The women in our country are not whores,” Prince Farsic al-Saud, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs snorted. “They are at home tending to their families.”

I used to have a tagline that said: President Bush is fighting the WOT, Dems the War on Bush.

Great point in this article, that they DO have it in them to fight. They just fight on the WRONG side, without fail.

It’s beyond aggravating to watch the Dems try to tie W’s and the troops’ hands, all while shrieking, “You’re not winning!”

Rather than the “Global War on Terror” it should be the “Global War against Islamofascism”

While its true that Pelosi and everyone else who went to Syria is a traitor (including the Republicans who went) the larger problem is that President Bush has been almost mute on this and several other similar transgressions. Treason is now passe.

The President should break out the hammer of the gods on this but he has no stomach for confronting Liberal enemies on his own turf. He never has.

I have a lot of family that I am not on speaking terms with because of the same issues...sister, cousins, etc.
They all stayed in Maine and I left, so they have been assimilated while I remain what our family was when I grew up.

Of course, what we all know is they want the War on Terror to be stopped completely, not just the use of the phrase.

Actually, in order to limit the focus on the GWOT, the Dems have a point. They pretty much banned showing the video footage of 911 under the guise that "we are watching people die". Today, too many people have forgotten why we entered the GWOT in the first place because they have totally forgotten the outrage they felt on 911. To that end, the Dems have been very succesful. Banning the terms associated with the Global War on Terror is just the next step in eradicating the whole thing from existence.

Yes, but only in an alternate universe.

Liberals and democrats have always cost more lives of good Americans than they, themselves, are worth! Why is it that so many people don’t see that???

"...It amazes me that it is coming to blows between friends and family..."

I solved the problem, Claire. All my friends are Conservatives, and we only argue about NASCAR drivers.

Family? That's a different problem. Most, except the Rockers, are flaming-liberals - I blame that on their mother(s), and their hapless fathers, of which, I ain't one!

My ground rules are simple - my house = my rules. I've told them all that I'd love to have them visit (it's their turn to drive), and they're always welcome - sons, daughters, nieces, and nephews (my nephews are Rockers-they're OK).

Hell, I'll even teach their young'uns to shoot firearms safely and properly. Why, we can even discuss Global Cooling, and what we can do about it! That confused-the $hit outa them last time, because they're just old enough to remember that crap!

Good luck, sweetheart. Hopefully they'll come around, and everybody will learn how not to step on each others toes. Works for me, and I'm happy just to be fishin' in Tarpon Springs, and they know it! ................ FRegards

How I love that line! The prick prince calls pelosi a whore, and she doesn't even know she's been insulted!

Maybe she knows that she is one, and it don't matter to her. We need a pic of her as a 'ho' .................. FRegards
