Someone should tell this woman that the USA is a democratic republic, not a democracy. The “will of the people”, in other words, “mob rule” is irrelevant. The checks and balances built into the US Constitution include veto and and its override. Perhaps the “World’s Smartest Woman” skipped civics class in 8th grade.
