Terrorists' Language (Iran)
Investor's Business Daily ^ | March 24, 2007 | IBD

Axis Of Evil: Iranian forces captured 15 British sailors and marines Friday morning in Iraqi territorial waters. This is an act of war. How will Great Britain respond?

The British sailors and marines who are now hostages had just completed a routine inspection of a merchant ship in the Persian Gulf when Iran's Revolutionary Guard Navy, a fanatic corps that operates outside of Iran's regular naval forces and traditional maritime procedures, surrounded the two small Royal Navy patrol boats. The British were then forced into Iranian territorial waters.

The fact that Iran disputes who controls the waters the sailors and marines were operating in at the time of their capture is no excuse for what in reality is a military attack. A 1975 treaty assigned the waters in the northern Gulf to Iraq; U.S. and British ships have regularly operated there. Iran has chosen this time to stir up trouble.

So far, the sum of the British response has been to call Iranian ambassador Rasoul Movahedian into the Foreign Office and demand 'the immediate and safe return of our people and equipment.'

That's what's publicly known. We trust more is going on behind the scenes. Tehran must know that if it doesn't return the seamen with haste and apologize, Britain will come down fast and hard.

Should Blair's government continue to pursue diplomacy beyond 24 hours, it will send Iran the signal it's looking for and ensure that the demeaning scene of those eight seamen will be replayed many times over with British and U.S. sailors as the hostages.

Terrorists control the government of Iran. It's unfortunate, but violence is the only language they understand. A bold show of force, if not raw force itself, is exactly what is needed in this situation.

This is something not only the UK but the US Congress, especially the Democrats need to understand!

The UK can't even control the Islamists in their own backyard and bend over backwards to accomodate every terrorist whim. Do you really think they will hit the Iranians hard? Their might be some word bashing but that's all the will happen. Margret and Winston are figures past.

Want to give Iran a headache. The Brits and our Navy to send in some of its fleet and totally take over the Persian Gulf. Let no Iranian ships enter or leave. This blockade would sure press the issue. If any ship attempts to leave, shot across the bow first. Then disable the ship and board. Let Iran make a foolish move and the result would justify wiping them out.

Fascinating Analysis of Leftist Goals, August 13, 2006

Reviewer: N. Sincerity - See all my reviews

A former 1960s radical, Horowitz is well-acquainted with the Leftist mindset. In this book, he strives to explain the modern alliance between left wing progressivists and radical Islamofascists. He argues that this alliance is based on a common desire to destroy Western capitalism. Leftist sympathy with Islamofascist ideas makes no sense from an intellectual point of view, given that countries ruled by radical Islamists are among the most racist, sexist, theocratic states in the world today. However, Leftists have recognized that they can benefit politically from destructive terrorist attacks on the Western world. A West under attack can be made to turn on its leaders in fear and desperation (as they did in Spain after the Madrid train bombings). Only once people reject current government structures can the Left execute its anti-capitalist revolution and build a new reality that mirrors the Leftist view of utopia. The complete and utter idealogical hypocrisy of the Islamofascist-Leftist alliance is distressing, but as Horowitz reminds us, Leftists radicals truly believe the ends justify the means.

"The Brits and our Navy to send in some of its fleet and totally take over the Persian Gulf. Let no Iranian ships enter or leave"

That's exactly what should be done.

Of course we won't do it. Our Congress would wet their cute little panties.

"Oh they know....."

I am afraid you are right. But in that case they should all be tried for treason.

And at the same time they should deny access, in or out, to Iranian airspace.

There is just so much that can be done to make Iran pay a price for its consistent refusal to play nice with the other kids. Sure, a lot of what we did would be no more than harassment, but keep it up long enough and it will wear them down.

We might not be able to stop them in their games, but we can certainly make them pay a price for participating!

Unfortunately the left and their media puppets would take Iran's side. The west would be accused of preventing food and medicine to be supplied or boughtby Iran for the women and children.

We'd be accused of interrupting commerce. The left must have their victims and the mullah's would play right along with that.

Remember the days when the scheming media cried buckets and buckets about the STARVING CHILDREN in Iraq? Remember how the medicines were being kept from the CHILDREN WHO NEEDED MEDICINE? Seems during that time France, Germany, Russia, Kofi Annan and son were bringing in quite a few Dollars for food and medicine that were not being given to the children.
The media will be able to drag out the old tapes and just change the name of the country.
