This is close to me but I'm not yet in the evacuation area. The sky is filled with smoke and the smoke smell is quite strong.

I spotted the smoke this morning when I was at the top of the hill on Bastenchury Road in Fullerton. My first thought was to deny it was a fire because it's much to early in the year. By my calculations we should still be in flood season. Fire season is still half a year away. You know the old saying that the four seasons in California are fire, flood, drought, and quake.
This is a strange place for a fire. It's right smack in the center of the county. Really in the middle of it all. Usually brush fires are located more toward the edge of development.
