Jordan has charged three terrorists with plotting to carry out attacks, including an assassination of American President George W. Bush. Prosecutors said the terrorists also planned to strike American Danish embassies in Amman but apparently were not aware that Denmark has no offices in Jordan.
The arrests were revealed Wednesday, three months after the terrorists were arrested the day before President Bush arrived in Amman for talks with King Abdullah.

I hear Saddam's lawyers are looking for new clients.

They missed.
Can't wait to see how fast Ramsey Clark runs to defend them.
Maybe Bill Maher will voice his regret they missed Bush like he did with Cheney.
The left must feel so disappointed.

I bet the DUmmies over at DU are upset that the plot was foiled. But too bad for them, our friends over in Jordan stopped the plot and will probably hang these scumbag jihadists in short order. Good riddance vermin, may your 72 virgins all look like Helen Thomas.

Has the Democrat Party Leadership filed a brief crying for amnesty on their behalf yet?

You are absolutely correct...but it is 10 years.
Congress passed legislation in 1994 stating that presidents elected to office after January 1, 1997, will receive Secret Service protection for 10 years after leaving office. Individuals elected to office prior to January 1, 1997, will continue to receive lifetime protection (Treasury Department Appropriations Act, 1995: Public Law 103-329).
I don't understand why this law was passed. All presidents should have protection for the rest of their lives imo. Odd that it would be passed.

Until September 11th I was kind of ambivalent. Now I think all presidents need to be protected for life - especially President Bush, since he's made himself quite an enemy to the terrorists. Maybe our lawmakers will have some sense and change it back. Maybe we should start demanding it, loudly.
