"Don't bother answering, because you don't have an answer. You just have spin."

ME, ME, can I answer? A tape was played at the trial from early June, 2003. On the tape, Armitage told Woodward that that Wilson was calling around, telling people that his CIA wife, Plame, had sent Wilson to Niger. Spin that.

If she was undercover, covert, classified, ect, LE would determine if it was done intentionally, and if so they would have got Armitage and Novak for committing a crime.

They did not pursue them because it did not serve a political purpose.

Well, that's why I could never be a career Beltway hack . . . because under those circumstances I'd be willing to do one thing that I bet Libby would never do.

I'll just leave it at that and not say any more.

“This verdict brings accountability at last for official deception and the politics of smear and fear,” Kerry said. “This trial revealed a no-holds barred White House attack machine aimed at anyone who stood in the way of their march to war with Iraq. It is time for President Bush to live up to his own promises and hold accountable anyone else who participated in this smear. It is also well past time for Vice President Cheney, who according to the testimony was protected by Scooter Libby’s lies, to finally acknowledge his role in this sordid episode.<<

I know some people here consider this a personal failing of mine, but I never really hated Kerry. Until I read this quote.

They had a prosecutor who was willing to charge any administration official. He had a virtually unlimited budget and years to work. Libby apparently told a lie about a conversation he had. If Libby did that, he should not have, certainly not to Federal investigators.

But if there were evidence of ANYTHING else criminal, it would have come out. Fitz is now hated by all sides because he did just this much and no more. This was least self serving course he could have chosen.

For Kerry to gloat like this really pisses me off.

I'll answer that question just as soon as you show me where I said the testimony does show that.

And none of the other lying you are talking about is under oath. If lying to the press was a crime, we should just build a high wall around DC and put sharks in the Potomac.

This prosecution and conviction scares the heck out of me.

Well P, we had all better get used to it because the libs in this country have their agenda and they will stick to it. You, me and others who register as Republicans and behave like conservatives are at a higher risk of being falsely accused and convicted than any other segment of the population. The freedoms in this country are shrinking and shrinking fast. Libs only talk the talk, they never walk the walk.

I didn't see his press conference AFTER the verdict...I saw that really llllllonnnngg one he did when he brought the charges.

Did he say TODAY that CIA agents' privacy must be protected???

Because if he did...that is supposed to have nothing to do with this case...AND it has since been told that she wasn't covert.

"And where, exactly, in the articles of impeachment would I find reference to these laws of which you speak?"

Articles of Impeachment is a political process, not judicial. As I stated, the Senate was loathe to go to the underlying crimes (you may have noted "courage" is a rare quality in the August Body). They were hoping for a resignation. While still be as "nice" as possible. Clinton dug in his heels. They failed.

When the Broderrick affair came up, the Senators, with the exception of 2 or 3, literally refused to look at the evidence. They didn't want to be "graphic."

I don't know DeMint's background, but I've long had a ton of respect for Coburn -- and it's no coincidence that he's had an extensive career outside of politics. I predict he won't stay in the U.S. Senate for a long time.

I agree that Libby is innocent. That is why I pray that Bush will pardon him immediately after sentencing and before any appeals.

Okay...I just heard Rush say something that I pointed out on a Scooter thread a few weeks ago.

The Plamegate case was ONLY initiated after Chuck Schumer complained, months after the Novak article...and Schumer PUSHED to have the investigation.

Someone was manipulating this from the beginning.

**yawn** yet another sad cornball remark that evades my simple question. I served, what can you say?

First off... Lets be clear... you penned the below... and if you can't figure this out... YOU ARE A TROLL...

"justice and truth? wait...why did we go to Iraq again ?" - Nuve9

BTW... Lurch also served... it is a true statement, even though he has served the rest of his time fighting for America's enemies.

You show up after a long delay after the tital waves, some of your first posts were interesting too. One grabs my attention, you suggest that muslims can hate infidels and your still ok with it. That throwing money at the hate will cause it to disappear...

"I still don't think you can stigmatise a whole group of people like that. I do not hate them or anyone. Even those that promote violence against us. I am sure that by helping those in need, that which you project to them, will influence them positively, no?"

Finally... I love your insights into our first lady...

Is it true she sold weed in her dorm when she was in college? That was a wild rumor at one point, I always doubted it, but hey, you never know, that crowd loved to party at that time. It was the 60s!! you know draft dodging let's get s*itfaced time!!!

You Sir are a troll...
