I saw this exchange with the Judge on TV. It was really bizarre, but Taheri-Azar really seemed as though he was amused with himself more than he was deranged and really believed what he was saying. Will be interesting what the mental exam indicates.

He's an islamic supremacist who believes that all muslims are above mans law. This is why he scoffs at the legal system. He'll only ever pay any attention to 'islamic law'. If thats a mental illness then the entire middle east is mentally ill.

IMO, he did not come off as even remotely mentally ill. Completely voluntary behavior, and a bad actor to boot.
First he calmly and politely got everyone's attention for his big announcement, "Everyone? Ok? I hate all Americans and all Jews, ok?". That effort to politely, and clearly communicate indicates a clear thinking person that is putting on a prearranged performance.
Plus despite his lawyer and the media scum bag reporter each repeating that his behavior was "very bizarre" and "very disturbed", I found he wasn't bizarre at all.
He's just a cowardly punk who did what he chose to do. There's nothing more to it than that, but the socialist establishment will definitely work with him in protecting himself and his "organization" (read: Islam)
