Then why don't you go somewhere else, and play? Or simply turn the channel, thread troll? Why are you soiling our thread with your idiotic and plebian comments, none of which are appreciated or welcomed, here?

"advertising guy"?

I worked at DDB, NH&S, Trout & Ries, JWT, Ries, Cappiello & Colwell back in the 70s and 80s, and I don't remember YOU being there. And since you weren't, YOU AIN'T an "advertising guy", if you didn't work on Mad Ave, pal. Maybe you were "hot stuff" in Des Moines, or Sheboygan or Nashville, but if you weren't on Mad Ave, you were NOWHERE!

Now, kindly go away!

It's all about borders, language and culture.

RE: fire breathing windbag

You almost got one aspect that makes Dr. Savage appealing to me.

I remember the 1950s attacks on loyalty and patriotism followed by the 1960s New Left ("Bring it all down, man.") and their takeover of the former traditional, patriotic Democratic Party, now the Rat Party.

Those decades especially the 1960s through the 1980s were the era of the silenced generation ("Fairness" Doctrine and left-liberal gatekeepers of "news" and "issues") when discourse consisted mostly of the left shouting "Bigot!", "Nazi!", "Hate monger!", "Racist!".

The right would cringe and scramble to disprove the bogus charges. The substance of the argument became lost.

The "news" reports routinely spoke of the "divisive" "radical" right -- "ultra" conservatives who opposed the "majority" opinion of "moderates" more likely than not put forward by the Democratic Party or the Rats.

No more! I've listened to Michael Savage virtually every day for more than ten years. More than once he stated that he's simply giving it back.

IMO that is one of the major things he's contributed to modern talk radio where one can express opinion without fear; to wit, don't cringe, fight back!

IMO you cannot debate the left-liberal feeeeeeeeeeling and contumelies with reason. Return the contempt -- then restate the substance of the debate.

Savage is not without numerous faults but as long as I believe that the good outweighs the faults I'll keep listening -- to LIVE broadcasts only, however. That's one of Savage's faults. He seems reluctant to have guest hosts preferring instead "best of" shows. So I switch over to Hugh Hewitt.
