A Taliban suicide bomber killed up to 12 people at the main U.S. military base in Afghanistan on Tuesday in an attack the rebels said was aimed at Dick Cheney, but the visiting U.S. vice president was not hurt.
“We wanted to target … Cheney,” Taliban spokesman Mullah Hayat Khan told Reuters by phone from an undisclosed location.
Targeting an American Leader, the Liberal Left over at The Huffington Post are celebrating the attempt on the life of Cheney and trumpeting their disappointment over the failure of the Islamic Terrorists to kill Cheney.

That kind of crap is unacceptable. I didn't like Bill Clinton, but I never for one minute wished for his assassination. He was the president of my country and I would have wanted to punish any country or group that made an attempt on his life.

I think we should just flatly tell Karazi in Afghanistan and Musharef in Pakistan that we will go wherever the terrorists are. That this is unacceptable as to their response and then we should proceed to hunt the enemy down and kill or capture them.
