I believe Lincoln was pro-abortion also.
THOMPSON, Fred Dalton, a Senator from Tennessee; born in Sheffield, Ala., on August 19, 1942
You're off by a decade. Did you learn the new math?
Jeez your right ...with all his clean living you'd think he'd look younger.
Uh, that's why I said "about a year" to the primaries.
Why am I "wasting my time bashing him"? I'm just getting the TRUTH out about him. If you consider telling people the truth to be bashing, then you're closer to liberal than you probably want to admit.
The funniest thing was when I made up some rudy & romney rino cards that stated their liberal positions in THEIR OWN WORDS, all the rudybots complained about it being "spam" on "every thread", even though I had put them up only on a few threads in the 24 hours since I made them. They HATE the fact that rudy can be exposed as the liberal he is so easily. They squeal like a stuck pig when people DARE expose their favorite rinos!
More and more is coming out about rudy. People don't know him and his positions. They only know personality now. More and more fact FACTS about rudy are coming out. About his positions, about his past. They're all true. And every time they come out, the rudybots get in a snit because it puts a dent in the pedestal they've built for him.
Just wait. I'm going to enjoy watching the this personality based "lead" for rudy to erode when people get to know the real LIBERAL rudy.
As far as flop sweat, it refers to when you're on stage. That would be the primaries, not nearly a year before they start. But you think you've come up with a clever quip and you're trying to use it as much as you can, aren't you?
The front loading of the primaries changes EVERYTHING; it'll be all over but the crying.
Do you think it might be a bit too early to get so solidly behind any candidate? Why not wait and see who all the candidates will be before making a selection?
Sure, but his big ship is already taking on water. He already has all the buzz and momentum he's going to get, based on his "America's Mayor" celebrity and those few particulars noted in the article. Everything else voters can learn about him can only bring him down.
I don't know. Why don't you ask someone who's displaying unbridled rage?
I'm completely undecided, except for one thing. I will not vote for McCain in the primaries.
As of now I'm praying for the best possible candidate to emerge.
Thanks for the link.
"You sidestepped the question. If Rudy has NO CHANCE why spend hour after hour on a website raging against him?"
Check your prescription...eyeglass and otherwise. I'm not the one who said "no chance".
"Down deep your scared."
My scared what?
I'm not scared. I, and others with similar positions on this board, are intent on exposing him for what he is.
His support is based on personality and public image. There is no "there" there right now. Primary voters really don't have much of an idea where he stands on the issues that matter to them, because no debates have taken place and no real campaigning has begun. That will happen in time, and his support will erode.
Why do we spend time "raging against him"? I read and participate in these threads to gain and share information on the candidates, and to help prevent the bad ones from getting through to the nomination.
The question to you is, with 11+ months to the first primary, why are you throwing all your support behind the most liberal candidate in the field instead of trying to help more conservative candidates? Is it because in truth you actually are liberal yourself, and rudy represents your ideals - pro roe v wade, anti 2nd amendment, pro illegal immigration, etc???
You're welcome. WND has its quirks, but it certainly gets enough traffic to get the word out.
On objections to publishing such needed material, I haven't seen so many calls for censorship since watching radical feminists do so against family rights discussions.
That might be true, but many of the pitchfork and torch crowd on FR these days are hardly conservatives. They're extremists. There's no other word for it. They are extreme in their viewpoints, extreme in their language, extreme in their emotions, extreme in their viciousness. They aren't conservatives, because they defame everything that is decent and honorable about conservatism. The only "values" they honor are scorn, hatred, and character assassination. These are the same people who said the most vile things about Pres. Bush in the run-up to the '04 re-election campaign. They are extremists -- the most vile elements of our culture, and I see no distinction between them and the extreme leftists.
""FLOP SWEAT" is an old theatre term and yes, I know exactly what it means."
Then you know it refers to when someone is dying on stage, not 10 months before the play begins. As the person is using it, it's ridiculous. The only time it would be apt is right before the primaries or after they start and rudy has an insurmountable lead.
For the better part of the last six months I've attempted to engage Giuliani`s supporters in civil debate. Unlike some other anti-Rudy FReepers, I've stuck to the facts and not made it personal. IMO, Rudy`s supporters aren't interested in debating his liberal record and would rather ignore it. That is the height of arrogance. Frankly, at this point I'm not into wasting my time with the RudyBots. People who want to ignore Rudy`s big govt, pro-abort, pro-gay, pro-amnesty, global warming kookiness and anti-gun record will not get the right time of day from me.
