I caught part of the interview last night - most interesting - I've tuned Charlie in every now and then and never before heard him ask a guest to discuss the "worst mistake" he ever made - apparently that's one way he has to try to redirect the discussion and discredit those with whom he disagrees, as with someone who suggests that the idea of global warming is preposterous........
To: PJ-Comix
I just laughed out loud when Crichton was talking about how biased most media folks are about this and Charlie said something like, "I'm not biased".
Yuh, right.

"State of Fear" was a GREAT read!! I've not ready many of Chrichton's novels. Will have to remedy that!

Rose is such a weasel. He says Michael Crichton is wrong on global warming - but, he just can't prove it. No, he FEELS it, that's enough for him.

The G Warning crowd act like the old Abortionists and Darwinists with the outrage of anyone daring to question. It is just an old Stalinist tactic to win an impossible argument.

Global Warming is like Lysenkoism in the old Soviet Union. Anyone unfamiliar with this, then look up "Lysenko" in Wikipedia. There are many parallels.

It was worth reading just to picture Martin Sheen getting eaten by cannibals. I wonder what Sheen did that got under Crichton's skin so bad? He sure made it known in the book exactly who that character was.

That's pretty interesting. I'd never heard of this particular commie before. It's timely for me because I've been having a conversation kinda like this in a Botany class I'm taking.
I presume it's okay to post a link from Wikipedia?

PJ, did you read the post yesterday saying that Gore has spread $500,000 of his own money around Academy members trying to buy that Oscar? Probably the only time since he won his first election that he's spent any of his own dough.

I didn't read that. Wasted money since it is INEVITABLE they will give him the Oscar.

I never saw that character as Martin Sheen. I always pictured Ted Danson; he of the "we're killing the oceans" fame.

I got an abusive Freepmail from someone called CONFOREVER about this thread, with a link to a blog. I didn't click the link. Has anyone else received one?
I copied the message, replied and told the troll never to contact me again, then copied JimRob on it, then sent another copy to the Admin Moderator.

Crichton is still a lefty, thoughOne only has to watch his show, ER, to know that. It's tiresome in a person so otherwise smart.
