Video taken during attack at Salt Lake City mall picks up shouting of "Allah Akbar" 3 times.

This was detected by Freeper "NraFreedom" - but only posted inside another thread. Due to the length of the video, its unrevealing visuals and the number of other unintelligible sounds, I think many ignored it.

Only thing I offer is visual aid - a screen capture of the KUTV video player loaded with the video AND MARKED on the slide with WHERE TO FOCUS ATTENTION. Here it is with a ledger :

GREEN (under "h" in "shooting") - start listening close after the 2 gunshots
RED - shout "Police" followed by "O.B...O.B.?" and the "Allah Akbar"s

TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN TO THE MAKED PORTION OF THE CLIP . IT IS WORTH IT.

I've watched the entire video about a dozen times and haven't heard the akbar deal..doesn't mean it isn't there but it's very difficult to hear..gonna need someone to do a serious audio cleanup on it..

I listened twice and could not discern anyone recite anything that sounded like Alla-hu Akbar.

Before posting it... 1)I played it to several people over the phone who heard it and 2) I reduced it to half speed , listened again and still sounded like "Allah Akbar" - but the more listen the better.

I live near Utica, NY and one day I was driving down the street and there were at least 5,000 Bosnians just standing in the street and sidewalk, smoking cigarettes, outside a bogus refugee center. I am not exaggerating.

The Bosnians all got government subsidized jobs in this economically depressed area. The citizens that were born here cannot get jobs here. Local citizen were fired because these companies got government subsidized workers.

The government was handing checks (grants not loans) to Bosnians to open business's.

The Bosnians are also all going to college with financial aid. I know of one case where a Bosnian came here, acquired some houses and fixed them all while he was receiving a tax payer paid Master Degree at the local college. He has now gone to Germany to teach and is selling the houses that he has here. I do not even own a house yet.

The first thing the Bosnians did was to complain about Halloween parties at school and they canceled the parties.

At the park where I walk, the Bosnians would fly the Bosnian flag at the pavilions they were in. The parks were crawling with Bosnians at first. They all had nice cars the day they got here. I don't even have a nice car yet.

The sleazy local Gannett newspaper bends over backward to cater to the Bosnians and a Bosnian woman was appointed to Common Council and she had not even won any council race.

Who in the government is making decisions like this (bringing in so many Bosnians)?

This is happening overnight all over the United States.

I hear the "Allah Akbar"s before the single shot. (The double shot is earlier). AFTER the single shot, I hear the "come on up"s - possibly "open up"s.

The sound the gunfire made in the mall was terrifying.

I watched the video and listened several times to the words after OB OB . It sounded to me like Allah Akbar run together.

So I brought down to the computer the best ears around. ( my wife)

I didn't tell her what the words were,or that they were going to be in Arabic.

She listened several times. I asked her what he said after the OB OB comments she said she couldn't make out the words.

The Ogden Police officer was yelling OPD, OPD, to identify himself as a cop wo he wouldn't get shot by other officers.

I'm wondering is the Allah Akbar was part of the Ogden Police officer.

Ogden Officer could sound very much like Allah Akbar.

I think what you hear is Odgen Officer, not Allah Akbar.

The only thing that would convince me that it isn't a rushed "Allah Akbar" is if the cop(s) who directly engaged the shooter says it wasn't.

I listened again and it sounds like:

"Police! Hold 'em up! O. B., O.B.! Come on up! Come on up! Come on-BANG! Hurry up! [something like] Through way! [then] Come on up, come on up!" Then the film shows two more officers advancing. Some more police comments then a whole lot of gunfire.

My best guess.

I don't hear that BUT your read made me realize that what I heard as possibly "O.B..O.B." was "O.P..O.P." for Ogden Police.

If you watch the video of the interview with the off-duty police officer, you will hear him recount exactly how he started yelling OPD, Ogden Police, OPD, Ogden Police Officer.

I'm in Utah, so I've watched extensive coverage. When I first saw this home video, I just assumed that's what I was hearing....so no, I don't hear allah akbar. I guess it would help to identify which voice you are hearing.

It does sound like what I hear as "Allah Akbar"s is in a different voice than the "O.P."s.
