A new report from the U.N. Children's Fund says the United States and Britain are the worst countries in the industrialized world in which to be a child. UNICEF says an examination of 40 factors, such as poverty, deprivation, happiness, relationships, and risky or bad behavior puts the United States and Britain at the bottom of a list of 21 economically developed nations.

Iran is #1. ;o)
Yea it's terrible for kids here in the US. Much better in Palestine or Sudan...
In the overall table of children's well-being, the Netherlands comes out on top, followed closely by the Scandinavian countries, which also have highly developed welfare systems. At the bottom are the United States at No. 20, and Britain at No. 21.
Perhaps we should petition the UN for aid. It's time for all those other countries to do their duty and help out less fortunate nations like ours.
UNICEF needs to spend some of their money on kids in the US.

The UN pushes abortion and has child rapists on staff.
The UN is bad for children.

(((hardy laugh)))

Typical NPR touchy-feely nonsense.
Fruck the un. If that offends anyone, just tell the mods to delete it. I hate the fricking un. Bunch of socialist, blood sucking, child raping, oil for food swindlers, I better stop. Sorry bastards. *loogie in their face*
Since Japan is a leading industrialized nation, I was curious how they did in this report. I was unsurprised to find out that the one time that I could find it mentioned in the report, it was ranked right with the U.S. and the U.K.
