Americans in general seem to have proven that they cannot govern themselves. Democracy sucks. I'm starting to wonder if we don't need some sort of principled, benevolent, dictator to fix this country. The sheep can't be counted on. Would we be better or worse off if someone such as Ron Paul were emperor and he had a group of like-minded men to carry out his laws?
This of course requires them to be principled, but so did the republic model. And we can see where we are now.

Oh, yes, there are quite a few. Of course, most of the idiots in OheilO would probably go right along with it.... we're one of the only states I know of that have snitch line phone numbers plastered of every "public" (riiiight) building....
