FreeRepublic Exclusive - COVERAGE & AUDIO of Free The Texas Three Rally, Hollywood, CA 2/10/07
2/11/2007 | self

Posted on 02/11/2007 9:27:34 PM PST by The Spirit Of Allegiance

I WANT THE TRUTH! -- so I attended the rally yesterday. There were many speakers. Marvin Stewart was the keynote speaker. He opened the rally with prayer, led the crowd of several hundred people in the Pledge of Allegiance then gave the keynote speech--which called Americans to repent of our own sins so that indeed God could be on our side. After Stewart finished, a number of other speakers took the microphone, including family members of convicted Border Patrol agents, some wearing shirts proclaiming their trust in God even in dire circumstances.

While the rally was properly permitted, from about 50 feet away the Marxists and Reconquista agents kept up a constant barrage of noise with amplified megaphones, despite apparently not having permits for them. EVEN DURING THE PRAYER the shouting was disruptive. The 'free speech for me but not for thee' type of tolerance. The pro-USA side was on very good behavior despite the provocateurs.

If you have any doubt that this indeed is a battle of good vs. evil...

If you have any doubt about who is angry and violent and trying to intimidate whom...

If you have any question about the true patriotism and allegiance of the two groups...

If you have any question about who believes in free speech and tolerance...

If you are just sitting around surfing web sites and playing around with life as an armchair warrior--if you have any doubt that now is the time to pass this audio around and make sure people WAKE UP to the urgency of the hour...

...PLEASE listen to this audio.

As always, I stand firm in calling on every official in every elected and appointed office in the United States to honor their oaths of office. Every officer must obey and enforce the law--and if laws are immoral, we must get them repealed lest we wake up to tyranny. We CITIZENS must never forget that WE are sovereign over OUR government and we must always keep in mind the many remedies we have for Constitutionally correcting problems that may develop at any level of government. Meanwhile and emphatically, I do not support ANY efforts to impeach President Bush. However I urge our President and Commander-In-Chief to be sure that he stands humble and righteous before God and is being true to our original Constitution and upholds his Oath of Office. Proverbs 31 says we are to speak for those who have no voice and to stand up for the oppressed. We are ALL to humble ourselves, 'lest we be humbled.' Ancient Israel learned this the hard way, I pray we need not learn such a bitter lesson.

The Los Angeles Police Departmant (LAPD) was excellent and did their job very well in general, but as the audio makes clear, they were slow in arresting the harassers who tried to drown out the rally sound system. Two individuals were later arrested. It seems that there was one individual in the police force who seemed intent on concealing the allegiance of those arrested.

HOLLYWOOD - Police arrested two people during a march in Hollywood organized in support of U.S. Border Patrol agents who were convicted of shooting an alleged drug smuggler...An adult and teenager were arrested, one for assault with a deadly weapon and the other for disorderly conduct, said Hollywood Police Sgt. David Torres. Their names have yet to be released and police do not know which side of the protest they were on, Torres said.... http://www.dailybulletin.com/news/ci_5205163

Ted Hayes took the microphone and spoke briefly to address the noisemongering from the opposition. Event organizer Chelene Nightengale clarified to the rally attendees that the event permit had boundaries and she urged the pro-America ralliers to stay clear of antagonists on the sidewalk, in accordance with the permit. If anything, the anti-US group increased their volume, notably adding a drum as can be heard in the audio.

Speaker John March, father of slain LAPD Officer David March spoke on behalf of Ramos and Compean and Hernandez.

Ted Hayes spoke and interviewed two women. One of them is a naturalized American who came from Mexico, who addressed the anti-US crowd fluently in Spanish. She has been called a 'traitor' by others who have a Mexican heritage because she is pro-USA--and she is not the only one who has had this happen.

Barbara Coe spoke briefly and called the anti-American agents '...cowards who haven't got the guts to stay home and fix their own country....'

Other speakers included wives and other family members of the convicted Border Patrol agents, one of the wives breaking down in tears while speaking.

One speaker called the Border Agent situations 'political imprisonment' and spoke of a meeting apparently scheduled later this month in Ottawa, Canada to discuss furthering the 'North American Union.'

The webmaster for AgentRamos.com spoke and described plans for a 'paycheck replacement' to help support the agent's family.

Ted Hayes announced that permits have already been obtained for a another march and rally, on March 25 to go from Broadway to City Hall.

A crew from America's Most Wanted was at the rally and the Gilmer Hernandez story is apparently scheduled for broadcast next Saturday.

"Border Bot" is a tired, overused pejorative used by those who don't get it, or don't want others to get it.

This is not the *only* life-or-death issue AMERICA must deal with in America but it most definitely IS such an issue.

Sovereignty matters. Flags matter. Allegiance matters.

Thank you for the ping, The Spirit Of Allegiance!

I've never been a "bot" before, but this is as good an issue to be one for... so count me in!

This post deserves the big one.

I am listening now to a little bit of it... must go to bed soon.

I saw those Zapatistas when they invaded the 4th of July parade in Pacific Palisades last year. There is a tremendous potential for violence with them. They want it; they are ready for it.

Representative Culberson was on Michael Savage's radio program on Friday and he said the best way to go was to e-mail, call and/or fax the White House and president Bush.

Make sure the subject is something like "Pardon Ramos and Compean" so they know what it's about.

I was reading some of the legal documents available online (for a fee) through the Court's "Pacer" system.  The excerpts below directly relate to the recent beating
of Ramos in prison and the safety of the officers.  The danger to the BP officers was indeed expressed to the judge--the Prosecution was, shall we say, less than
sympathetic, instead seeing themselves as the victims of attacks.
Sutton's office's response to Ramos' Motion for Downward Departure also that said the Bureau
of Prisons "will take every measure to assure their safety".

Anyway, I decided I should post this and it seems related to this thread.

Motion by defendant Ignacio Ramos:

MOTION FOR DOWNWARD DEPARTURE AND MEMORANDUM
IN SUPPORT OF REQUEST FOR VARIANCE FROM THE GUIDELINES
(Document 183, Filed 10/18/2006, Case 3:05-cr-00856-KC)

(snip)

4. Mr. Ramos would be a vulnerable prisoner

One of the approved departure factors in Koon was the likelihood that the police officer defendants in that case would be susceptible to abuse in prison.  The same is certainly true here.

The evidence presented at trial was that the victim and his drug-trafficking friends considered retaliatory shootings at Border Patrol Agents after this incident.  The likelihood that the victim (a member of an on-going drug trafficking organization) has associates in prison is very high.  The likelihood that those associates would want to harm Mr. Ramos is also quite high, particularly in light of the evidence that such plans were already discussed.  Besides personal acquaintances of the victim, there are other drug traffickers in prison who could bear a grudge against Agent Ramos, as he is symbolic of the kind of law enforcement officer that put them behind bars.

Response from Government (submitted by Johnny Sutton, U.S. Attorney, signed by AUSAs Debra Kanof and José Luis Gonzalez)

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA v. IGNACIO RAMOS, JR.

GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE AND OBJECTION TO
DEFENDANT'S MOTION FOR DEPARTURE AND VARIANCE
(Document 187, Filed 10/19/2006, Case 3:05-cr-00856-KC)

(snip)

Vulnerable prisoner

While the case cited by Ramos is some authority for a Court's consideration of the vulnerability of police officer in prison, the departure by the district judge in Koon v. U.S., 518 U.S. 81 (1996) was predicated on facts that were completely opposite to the case at bar.  In Koon, the public outcry was against the police officer defendants. The defendant's concern there was that since there was world wide publicity, including an often played video tape of the police officers beating the victim, the public outcry was to string up the defendant officers.  In the case at bar, as a result of the defendants' wide spread and multiple misstatements to the public, the outcry is to string up the prosecution.  According to the defendant in this case, in his public interviews and statements, he is a national hero.  Thus, by his own hand creating the public outrage, defendant has excluded himself from such a departure consideration.

Additionally, the Department of Corrections may, and do often, make provisions to protect all types of vulnerable inmates.  The Bureau of Prisons has many federal law enforcement agents housed in their facilities. The government assures the Court and the defendants that the Bureau of Prisons will take every measure to assure their safety.

Judge Cardone's judgment on Ramos' motion was silent as to any danger Ramos might be facing and recommended he be incarcerated near El Paso. [Note: Ramos was sent to Mississippi, and Compean to Ohio]

JUDGMENT IN A CRIMINAL CASE
(Document 195, Filed 10/23/2006, Case 3:05-cr-00856-KC)

(snip)

IMPRISONMENT

The defendant is hereby committed to the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons to be imprisoned for a term of 12 months and 1 day on each of Counts Two (2), Three (3), Eight (8), Nine (9) and Twelve (12) to be served concurrently and 120 months as to Count Four (4) to be served consecutively with Counts Two (2), Three (3), Eight (8), Nine (9) and Twelve (12).

The Court makes the following recommendations to the Bureau of Prisons:

That the defendant be incarcerated in a federal facility as close to El Paso, Texas as possible.

The defendant shall surrender for service of sentence on or before 2:00 PM on January 17, 2007 either at the institution designated by the Bureau of Prisons or to the Office of the United States Marshal.
