Dodd just said that Iraq "couldn't be any worse than it is today"...when asked what would happen if the USA were to withdraw from Iraq right now.
Dodd said the will have to cut off spending in later bills and some of the Republicans will go along.

For someone who has virtually no experience in govt. he is way out of his league.
I stand by my original prediction that he will be come Hillary's VP(gopher)and he and Bubba will Rock star their way to fame in the final few months of the election war(with the DBM frantically in tow opening doors and feeding their stars shrimp and baloney) while Hillary takes a long deserved vacation back to Alaska in search of someone else who will wear a pants suit while running for President.
A correct answer to that would have been; "No, creating and reporting a political perception instead if just reporting the facts is what the MSM has been doing"
Mine too...I keep waiting to see the headline that Shep has become a regular on the E entertainment channel as resident designer-hairdresser-Joan Rivers' assistant commentator...he is just on the wrong channel!
Roundtable discussion on This Week. Robert Reich said the ecomony was good, but most people "cannot see" benefit in the current situation. Maybe he just means himself, since much is above his line of sight. George Will made a good point on income averages: Fourty people are drinkin in a bar.....Bill Gates walks in....the income average in the room jumps to over one billion....so what? It forced Reich to admit averages don't mean much since he and Shaquille O'Neal have an average height of 6' 2".
Being asked about the report coming out today about Iran's involvement.
Dodd says we need to talk to Iran...and he doesn't believe the intel..because they just found out Feith "was cooking the books"...
Dodd is skeptical that Iran is involved with Iraq...and thinks that Bush is just trying to get us in Iran...especially the way that Bush uses "doctored" intelligence.
Wallace let Clinton crap all over him. Then Wallace was aggressive with Feith.
Wallace is not a conservative team player. And he is too wimpy.

Focus was on Tim Russert on the stand and how Team Libby played the IMUS clip where Russert was exuberant about the Libby indictment (it was like Christmas is what Russert said). Talked about how Russert said Plame’s name never came up in their phone calls and asking if Russert’s reputation was harmed. Focus was on accuracy of reporters and Glenn talks about why the prosecutor is fighting Andrea’s appearance, when she is key to Libby defense (note: the decision about Andrea Mitchell’s testimony is still pending).
HuffPo really goes after Russert – about how Russert fought the subpoena to appear to the GJ after he had already talked to the FBI, this was a false representation of the facts and that NBC lawyer may not have known it (or something like that).
Kurtz jumps in and tries to defend Russert, but HuffPo goes right back into the false information Russert provided to the court, and how Russert is such a hypocrite because he told the FBI and then said he didn’t want to talk to the GJ.
Kurtz once again defends Russert about how the general media concensus was that Russert did well on the stand. Of course, no concern about the situation Libby is in.
Unbelievable how Kurtz keeps jumping in to defend Russert.
Whoever said above that the media will protect each other was spot on.
No discussion at all about the potential legal jeopardy Russert and NBC are in for filing that false affidavit.
And the fact that in a crash you get to live for a split second longer.
Boehner really disappointed me....never even tried to stop Hoyer's lies...and he looked mighty guilty when Timmy read that Times article about the "new" way around the ethics and lobbying bill.
He had pretty good answer, but he sat there looking guilty for too long, IMHO>
Juan Williams BIG CONCERN is that Rudy is not pleasing the social conservatives and they are fractured.
I note that once again, we have a big NPR liberal on FNC (earlier in the week it was Moira Liasson) articulating all of the "social conservative" issues, and why Rudy doesn't cut it.
That is the plan.
I don't mind that so much as that he is not evenhanded. He starts out like Russert, trying to develop his "neutral" bona fides, but his slip is showing much more quickly than Timmy's did.
What to get hubby for V Day? A good bottle of wine is always a nice gift. And you both can enjoy it.
