There is a police report from the Oakland PD, re: a young VN veteran that beat the holy hell out of a long-haired maggot infested puke, about 10 feet from the entrance gate of the Oakland Army Terminal.

No charges were filed, since the puke was observed by six (6), count 'em, six (6) witnesses as having spit upon the VN vet.

I traveled from my home base to Afghanistan via Denver and Baltimore wearing my DCUs.

On the way to Afghanistan a military family on vacation bought some Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches for a bunch of us who were deploying.

On the way home I was approached by the parents of two kids who wanted to get a picture taken with me.
